It's been a few days since we made it back to Hometree and Rose and I have settled well into our new shared home pod, bigger than both of our old ones put together. Neytiri was overjoyed to see Rose was alright and her son was practically glued to Tearney at the hip, he was rarely far from her if he could have a say in it, always crawling over to my mate and my daughter whenever we sat near them during meal times or when Neytiri and Rose would do chores together inside Hometree. Mo'at would sometimes make jokes that they'd be mates in the future but Neytiri usually just rolled her eyes with a smile and Rose would laugh it off. The triplets had also taken a liking to Tearney, but not nearly as much as Tsu'hirim, Neytiri's son, had.

Tonight is Tearney's first communion with Eywa so the three of us are getting ready for that, Rose wearing a new top made of golden yellow and almost teal leaves with black feathers tied into it that matches the yellow and teal leaves with black feathers gently woven into Tearney's kuru braid. I'm wearing a necklace that matches both of them, and once I finish putting it on and fixing the way it looks I make my way back through mine and Rose's bedroom in our pod over to Rose, who's laying back in our hammock, top pulled aside slightly so she can feed Tearney one last time before the ceremony. I reach them and smile, mumbling "there's my pretty girls," before leaning down and pressing a soft kiss to Rose's lips then kissing the top of Tearney's head, smiling as she unlatches from Rose's breast to coo up at me. Reaching over, I lightly rub my knuckle against her cheek before gently directing her back to the bud so she can continue eating, petting her hair down once she's latched back on.

We allow her to eat for a while before we get up, Rose fixing her top before we head up to the top branches of Hometree, I get on Bob's back and smile as I watch Anìheyu nuzzle Rose and gently nudge his beak against Tearney's side before Rose climbs up onto his back. Once she's ready to go we both fly off, my ears perking up at the sound of Tearney's excited squeals as we fly away from home, landing at the Tree of Souls once we get there. The other members of the clan part to give us a path through, neither Rose or I missing the happy babbles Tsu'hirim sends Tearney's way when he sees her as we walk past where Mo'at is standing holding him. I chuckle quietly as my daughter's head immediately turns to look for him, though she can't see him past her mother's chest. We make it to the middle of the spirit tree where Neytiri's already waiting for us, a smile on her face, greeting Rose and I as we return the greeting to her.

She begins going through the ceremony, though rather than focusing on her words all my attention is on Rose and Tearney. Thank you Eywa, for protecting my beautiful mate and helping her bring me the gift of our beloved little one, I think to myself as I step forward when the time is right, Rose holding Tearney up so I can gently connect her queue to one of the vines I'm holding. I watch the adorable gummy smile spread across her face as she makes the connection, her pupils going wide as she does so, and suddenly feel a tear slip from my eye. I just ignore it rather than trying to wipe it away, softly smiling down at my daughter when her eyes drift to mine and Rose's and she lets out a little happy coo at the sight of her parents. I leaned down and pressed a kiss to our baby's forehead, whispering against her skin with closed eyes, "Irayo Eywa fì'u lor syawn. (Thank you Eywa for this beautiful blessing.)"
