Chapter 16 - Stolen at Dawn

3rd Person

The following morning Rose wakes up and stretches slightly, wincing at the dull soreness in her lower body. She rubs her eyes and partially sits up, purring subconsciously when she feels Jake's arms still wrapped around her waist. When she looks behind herself and sees him still asleep she smiles softly and leans down to press a soft kiss to his lips before carefully unwrapping his arms from her waist and moving her hips away from his, shivering as his cock slips out of her, semi-hard from morning wood. Rose stands up and steps a few feet away, watching to see if Jake got up before turning and heading into the tree line to look for somewhere to relieve herself. Her senses are still a bit muddled in her still-partially-asleep state so she doesn't hear it when a twig snaps a few meters behind her, not even thinking of the possibility of something else being there so she's still completely in the nude, having left her clothing with Jake.

She finally finds a downed tree and leans against it, doing her business then finding a small stream and washing herself off, rebraiding her hair since she never did last night. Once she's done cleaning herself she begins walking back towards the glow worm pool, only to be grabbed my her waist from behind, letting out a loud scream of panic as her body is pressed up against another body, firm and covered in uncomfortably hot clothing. The person holding her smacks a hand over her mouth quickly and holds her still that way as their other hand disappears for a moment before something plastic is slapped against her wrists and secures them together tightly, then a cloth is brought up to her face and she's gagged by it, her jaw soon beginning to ache as she snarls at the person who's now tugging her away by her queue.

They turn her around and she recognizes it as what must surely be one of the humans' soldiers, but they're Avatars.. and as they start pushing her in front of them and walking her further and further away from Jake quickly, she catches sight of two others, both dressed in similar clothing and both Avatars as well. The one shoving her is a male, and the other two are one female and another male, the female blowing a pink bubble from bubblegum before popping it between her teeth and the male not pushing her around is completely bald save for the hair that forms the braid around his queue. They make it to a cliff and three ikran swiftly fly over and land, the two other Avatar's each climbing onto one before the Avatar behind Rose lifts her over his shoulder, a hand wrapped around her tail so she doesn't fall or flail around as he climbs onto his ikran. The three fly off, tears coming to Rose's eyes as she whimpers quietly before letting out a loud, high-pitched keen that makes all three Avatars wince and quickly cover their ears, hurting her own ears as well but as they continue to fly off she smiles beneath her gag as she sees Jake run out of the tree line and onto the cliff.

Rose watches as he looks around frantically before his eyes land on the three ikran flying away, and she watches as his expression morphs into one of pure rage, letting out a nearly ear-piercing snarling roar.

Jake

I continue snarling and growling as I watch the ikran and the people on them carry away my mate, mind frantically trying to think of something, anything I could possibly do to save her.

I remember that we had come here with our ikran last night and quickly run off to where we had left them, seeing them still asleep. With a slightly annoyed groan I hurried over to Bob and tried shaking him awake, then when I got nothing I quickly went and did the same to Anìheyu, growing slightly panicked as they both remained unresponsive.

For a moment I thought they had been killed until I caught sight of something metal glinting against the sun, sticking out of Anìheyu's side under his one wing. I lifted the wing carefully and pulled the thing out, inspecting it before growling loudly as I realized what it was, going and finding one in Bob's neck as well.

Those sons of bitches tranquilized and sedated our ikran so they could kidnap my mate. Luckily I knew exactly where they had taken her, so I gently pet along the necks of both ikran before running back to the cliffside and calling for Toruk. He found me quickly and I climbed up onto his back, securing our queues together before he flew off towards Bridgehead.

We weren't able to get close but I was able to see the three ikran land in the center of the open middle of Bridgehead, watching as the male who had originally been carrying Rose handed her over to the female he had traveled with, who carried her bridal style and waited for the men to get a bit of a ways away. Once neither of them were paying attention I watched the woman holding Rose grab a light tarp from a pile of supplies not far from her, loosely wrapping the tarp around the now unconscious body of my mate to cover her nudity.

As I continued watching them, the woman carried Rose into the building, following the path the men had taken. Once again quickly surveying the defenses around Bridgehead I growled quietly before turning and flying back to Hometree, knowing there was no way I could make it in there, save Rose, and get both of us back out alive on my own.
