GRACE WALKS BESIDE ELIJAH AS THEY HEAD DOWN THE STREET. They had just seen a man about one of the witches who were on elijahs arm. Apparently the woman had killed herself a few months ago, which led them to believe that maybe everyone of the witches were dead aswell. She sighs as she nudges his arm, seeing the man keep his eyes in front of him. Grace only nudges him again, this time harder. "Elijah." She says and Elijah only sighs as he rubs the back of his neck.
"When I told you, you could come with us, I didn't mean for you to nag me the entire way." Elijah tells her and she only smirks up at him, laughing lightly.
"I'm an excellent conversationalist, actually." Grace retorts and Elijah only glances down at her for a moment.
"Hm." He hums before looking back in front of him. Grace bites her bottom lip, clasping her hands together as she looks around the street.
"You know, your little girlfriend basically threatened me." She points out as she raises an eyebrow at Elijah. The original rolls his eyes as he lets out a sigh.
"She's not my girlfriend and Celeste wouldn't dare lay a finger on you." Elijah states as he knew Celeste was not dumb enough to hurt the girl. Especially with every original protecting her.
"Right and she took Klaus and Rebekah on a trip to Disneyland." Grace says sarcastically as she rolls her eyes. She fiddles with her fingers as she glanced up at Elijah. "Do you still love her?" She asks, it wasn't exactly meant to be harmful. It's just, when you love someone, even after it's over, even after it's been years, that love could be inside of you forever.
"I've only ever loved two people in my lifetime so of course there's still the remnants of it." Elijah explains to her as he nods his head. He didn't love often but when he did, he did it with his whole heart.
"Wow. Only two?" Grace asks as she was certainly surprised since the man had been around for a thousand years.
"Have you ever loved anyone?" Elijah asks curiously as he hadn't heard the girl mention anyone in her life.
"Once. A long time ago." Grace admits as she glanced down at her feet. She truly did love Dylan, even after the way it ended. Grace still had a piece of her heart that cared for him, despite not wanting to. "I wouldnt make the same mistake twice." She says as she knew it would be hard to ever fall in love again.
