"What about Sunwoo?" Heemin asked with hope in her voice

"What about Sunwoo?" Heemin asked with hope in her voice.

Suzy sighed and tilted her head back, obviously still troubled. "What about him? He's ignoring me. We even saw him on our way to the store and he was kind of cold again. There's nothing I can do about that."

"But maybe you should try to talk-"

"Here." Younghoon came into the room, interrupting the two and handed them cans of beer. "To new beginnings." He proposed a toast while smiling at Suzy who couldn't help but smile back, surprised herself that he suddenly made her blush after his confession. They clinked their cans and took a sip.

Heemin's eyes filled with tears that she tried to hold back as she chugged the beer hoping it would help her with that. She had no idea what to do, all she wanted at that time was to cry and get wasted or even hook up with someone, just to not feel miserable.

After the two left Heemin's apartment, she drank some more alone and was quickly out of the beers. She went to the convenience store to buy few more and had a crazy idea on the way back. She realized she was close to Eric's apartment and her feet walked in that direction almost by itself.

Eric furrowed his brows and checked the time. "Who's here at that hour?" He opened the door and was surprised at the sight of the girl. "Heemin? What are you doing here?"

She didn't say a word and practically threw herself at Eric who was caught off guard. He kind of kissed her back but quickly realized what was going on and pushed her away. "What are you doing?"

"I just wanted to kiss you." She tried to do it again, but the boy held her away from him. "Come on, let's have some fun."

"You're drunk."

"So?

"So you should sober up. Come in." He dragged her into his apartment and locked the door. Heemin grabbed him by the arms and turned him around, pushing him against the wall, placing her lips on his one more time.

There was no denying that Heemin was attractive and Eric liked her overall — combining the two facts made him realize that maybe he was somewhat attracted to her, so it was hard for him to push her away once again, but he felt obligated to. "Heemin, what's gotten into you?"

The girl sighed and tears filled her eyes. "Why won't you kiss me?" She started crying uncontrollably.

Eric was dumbfounded, he had no idea what the hell was going on. He held her by the arms to avoid her falling down onto the floor like she was about to. "Heemin-ah, what's going on?"

"Why won't anyone kiss me?"

The boy sighed and wrapped his arms around her, pulling her in for a hug. "It's ok, don't cry."

The next morning, Heemin felt terrible

The next morning, Heemin felt terrible. She sighed, hating herself for getting this drunk once again when she promised herself not to. She reached to the side to grab her phone from her bedside table, but the furniture wasn't there. She furrowed her brows before opening her eyes to look around and sat up abruptly upon recognizing it wasn't her place.

"You're up." Eric smiled as he ate cereal on the chair next to the couch she was on.

"W-what am I doing here?"

"I'm not surprised you don't remember. You were wasted." He glanced at her again, worried. "Do you want to eat?"

She shook her head. After thinking hard, she remembered throwing herself at the boy and then crying like a baby. She gasped and ruffled her hair in frustration and out of embarrassment.

Eric immediately put away his food and sat next to her, grabbing her hands to stop her. "Easy." He calmed her down with the sweetest smile.

"I'm sorry for being a burden. I'm so fucking stupid."

"No, you're not. You're just.." he fixed her hair gently. "Hurt."

Heemin looked at him softly as the tears suddenly didn't want to fall down her cheeks anymore. Eric really had something so calming about himself that she understood why so many people leaned on him and why she was about to become one of them too from now on.
