"Why is there so many people?"

"You've never been to an opening before?"

"No and that's exactly why." Suzy whined to her best friend Heemin who dragged her to an opening of a new ice cream store.

"It won't take as long as you fear, don't worry." Heemin linked her and Suzy's arms together and pulled her in the line. "Anyways, you have to tell me what the hell happened with that guy."

Suzy rolled her eyes at the memory that was rather bittersweet. "Nothing, there's not much to tell."

"Judging by your reaction there is a lot to tell! Also, I hope whoever owns that crazy dog won't ever take it off the leash."

"I don't think it belonged to anyone, I didn't see a collar."

"Ok well fuck the crazy dog!" Heemin said too loudly and covered her mouth when others began to give her looks. "Tell me about the guy!" She whispered, not wanting to draw any more attention.

Suzy sighed as her friend begged with puppy eyes. The two girls moved forward as someone was already ordering an ice cream in front of them and the short haired girl finally gave in to Heemin's begging. "To sum it up — he was a handsome guy being an ass."

"He apologized, though, didn't he?" A male voice came from in front of them, making both girls turn their heads to look. Heemin glanced at him confused meanwhile Suzy wanted to hide under a rug.

Sunwoo gave the girl a smirk while staring her deeply in the eyes. He licked his ice cream and walked away, having a confused friend of his named Jacob follow behind him.

Suzy slapped her forehead as soon as Sunwoo was out of her sight. "What the hell was that?" Heemin asked with furrowed brows.

"That was him!" She whisper-screamed while hiding her face in her palms.

"That was him?!"

"Care to tell me what that was all about?" Jacob looked at Sunwoo curiously

"Care to tell me what that was all about?" Jacob looked at Sunwoo curiously.

"It's a long story."

"I don't have anywhere to be."

Sunwoo chuckled, knowing his friend would say that. He told him the whole story and Jacob — being a romantic that he was — found it to be destiny.

"You can't be serious." Sunwoo chuckled on and off as the other proceeded with his theory.

"I'm telling you! You met her in a very unusual way and now there too? At an ice cream store opening in a huge ass city? That's not a coincidence." He patted Sunwoo's back. "Besides, aren't you a romantic too?"

Sunwoo almost choked on his ice cream as he leaned forward, hitting his chest. "I don't know where you got that from."

Jacob rolled his eyes, patting his friend's back. "You don't have to pretend with me. I've seen you with girls."

"You're imagining things."

"Say what you want, I know the truth." Jacob smiled sweetly which made the other give up on the different opinions. "Anyways, how's your new apartment?"

"I'm picking up the keys today. I'm hyped, I'm so sick of my roommate so I can't wait to live alone." Sunwoo's gummy smile appeared on his face.

"I hope you'll throw a house warming party."

"Are you kidding? How could I miss out on such an opportunity?"

After Sunwoo and Jacob went their separate ways, the boy went to pick up the keys to his newly rented apartment as he mentioned it to his friend before. It was small and wasn't overly decorated but he liked the minimalism of it and most of all — having it all to himself.

He stood in front of the building and looked up. A silent gasp escaped his lips when he realized there were more levels than he remembered. Shrugging, he went inside, using a code the owner gave him. His head moved to the R&B music that blasted through his airpods as he waited for the elevator, nodding at the modern design once he got in and pressed 5th level. When he got out, he went to the right since he remembered the way perfectly and took a deep breath. A big smile appeared on his face as he took the keys out and turned off the music. He unlocked the door and opened it, ready to go in when a sound of the elevator door opening caught his attention. Curiously he glanced back and noticed a girl with long, black hair skipping on her feet towards an apartment in front of his, though in a pretty long distance. He shrugged when she disappeared behind the door, not noticing at him at all, and he walked into his own four walls as well. A smile that didn't leave his face only grew bigger. "It was worth working my ass off."
