021: Tell The Truth Or Not?

Suzy felt terrible the next day. She wondered if Younghoon would even remember anything from last night and if Sunwoo still felt the same about her as the night before, but the most important thing for her at that moment was to talk with Heemin.

Suzy still couldn't believe that she never noticed Heemin's feelings towards Younghoon and felt like the worst friend, knowing she gave him a chance and made the girl watch them flirt and listen to her stories from their dates.

When Suzy got out of the elevator her eyes turned to the right — Sunwoo's apartment. She quickly shook off the thought of her crush and went to knock on Heemin's door as she then waited patiently for the girl to open.

"Suzy? What are you doing here so early?" The girl welcomed her with the widest smile.

Suzy walked in and immediately sat down on the couch in the living room. Heemin looked at the girl curiously as she noticed something was off so she sat down next to her. "Is everything ok?"

"Why didn't you tell me?" Suzy answered right away, almost cutting the girl off.

Heemin furrowed her brows and chuckled, acting dumb. "About what?"

"About Younghoon."

The other chuckled once again, now nervously, and was about to lie, but Suzy stopped her before she did. "I know you like him. Why didn't you tell me?"

Heemin sighed, troubled. "He really had to tell you, huh?"

"He didn't tell me anything. I overheard you two yesterday."

Heemin turned her head abruptly, staring at the girl with wide eyes. She was visibly getting nervous and didn't know how to behave. Suzy grabbed her hands, looking at her with tears in her eyes. "You should've told me! I wouldn't have even thought of giving him a shot!" She whined out of frustration.

"I didn't know how, when I was thinking about doing it, it was too late." Heemin's eyes watered too. "I also have something else to admit.." she took a deep breath. "I knew that he liked you." Suzy looked at her questionably, so she continued. "Ever since that little party after hours at Sunwoo's and Jacob's diner."

The short haired girl furrowed her brows, trying to remember that day.

"I was about to tell you but then I was afraid you might actually like him too and you two would go out together, which you actually did anyways, I'm so sorry. I was selfish and—"

"It's ok, I don't care about that at all." Suzy hugged her tight.

The two sobbed a little in each other's arms for a while before calming down.

"I'm breaking up with him." Suzy blurted out.

"Suzy, you don't have to because of—"

"It's not because of you, even though I would break up with him for that reason alone too. But.." She looked like she needed to sum up all her courage to say what she was about to say. "I like Sunwoo."

Heemin hit her arm teasingly and a small smile appeared on her face. "I knew it!"

Suzy chuckled but the happy expression quickly disappeared. "I also did something terrible last night and I know that Younghoon and you too will probably hate me."

The happiness wiped off Heemin's face as she waited for her to continue.

"I made out with Sunwoo last night, outside the bar."

Heemin's face dropped and she let go of the other's hands. She covered her mouth, standing up. "Suzy, what the fuck?!"

"I know, I'm a horrible person." She hid her face in her hands. "It just happened, I couldn't help myself, it was stronger than me." She stood up and walked over to Heemin. "I'm sorry."

"You're unbelievable. How could you do this to him? He really likes you, Suzy!"

"I know, there's no explanation and I feel horrible but I can't turn back time. I'm going to tell him everything, I promise."

Heemin scoffed. "And that'll make him feel so much better." She added, sarcastically.

"He should know, right?"

Heemin breathed out loud. "Honestly, I don't know."

"But what if he finds out later? Wouldn't he hate me and Sunwoo even more?"

"He's going to hate Sunwoo either way. I don't think he could ever hate you, though.."

"I really don't know what to do.."
