Chapter 54

HeavenLeigh POV

"When I hear your name
Puts a smile up on my face
It don′t matter the time or the place
You make it all better now
I could love you forever now" I sang as I played the piano.

Today I had a performance but my mind wasn't even in the right place. This was a love song I wrote about Roddy months ago, that I JUST dropped and I just don't feel the love right now obviously.

So I'm just extremely emotional while performing it. I was very sad.

My eyes watered as I continued to sing and play the piano, with the support of Remy and Nicole, my baby girl Honesty, and Kamal and Skylar in the audience watching along with everyone else.

"When I hear the sound
When I'm feeling down
Ain't nobody else gotta be around

Let me get myself together now" I sang.

A few stray tears ran down my face but I kept going, this is just raw emotions right now. And that makes you feel the song even more so.

It is what it is.

I was just so sad about everything. Roddy has really disappointed me.

Roddy POV

I walked in on HeavenLeigh's performance and I seen tears rolling down her face as she sang and played the piano and I squinted my eyes a bit as I sighed.

Feeling bad.

I had a bouquet of roses in my hand to give her afterwards, hoping that'll do something. A little something at least.

I don't wanna lose my wife.

But the ball is in her court. She basically took my choice away from me so.

If it was up to me we'd fix it. But now I don't know if she wants to.

"Everything that you've told me
I thank you every day for
All the things you wanted me to be
Is every thing I′ve prayed for" She sang.

I took a deep breath as I listened to the words, and I just watched her.

"Baby you make it all better now
I could love you forever now
Ooooh" She sang tilting her head back.

I could tell she was trying to pull herself together but couldn't, I rubbed my face with my free hand as I just watched, getting a flashback.

Flashback

"Leaving already?" Kamal asked her.

"Yeah, gotta get going to Bible study. Hey, if you guys aren't busy, you guys should come." She said.

"Bible study?" I said to her.

"Yeah" She replied.

"She goes all the time" Kamal said to me. "But, I can't go tonight Heaven" He added.

"It's all good" She said shrugging and putting her purse over her shoulder.

"Yeah.. Me neither" I said.

"It's okay! Maybe next time, good seeing you two. And nice meeting you...?" She trailed off, as she made eye contact with me.

"Roddy." I said holding my hand out and she shook it.

"Nice to meet you Roddy, I'm HeavenLeigh. But you can call me Heaven if you'd like" She said.

"I like HeavenLeigh better.." I said looking her in her eyes.
