"Wassup" I said trying to give Remy a hug but she shoved me saying "Don't touch me cuz."

"Damn! Come on man" I said.

"Nah fuck allat, we need to talk." She said shutting the hotel room door, and I sighed because I already know what this was about.

A nigga felt like shit.

We walked to the couch and sat down, and she just looked at me shaking her head.

"Remy I don't need that shit right now cuz." I said.

"Don't need what?" She said.

"The guilt trip you finna put on me right now. I feel guilty enough, and I feel terrible that I ruined my marriage. I just-"

"Mm mm. See you don't get to throw a pity party for yourself." Remy said.

"I'm not tryna throw no pity party" I said.

"But you are. See you gone let this burn. HeavenLeigh really tried with you, to be honest I don't even know what she wanted with you to begin with. I knew you weren't ready for the woman she is, but I thought you could possibly grow the fuck up. But I see that ain't the case. And you wasted her mothafuckin time, for what?" Remy said before she chuckled.

"Aye! You are my friend Remy, not my mother. So don't be talking to me like that." I said.

"Oh I'll say what the fuck I want." She said standing up and I stood up too and shrugged.

"So what's good Remy? What you on?" I said.

"I'm on whatever you on nigga." Remy said and I sighed.

"I'm not tryna argue cuz, I feel bad enough. Aight? Heaven... That's my heart. I just- I don't know. I can't even give you a reason for my actions. Me hurting her wasn't intentional." I said.

"Nothing with you ever is." Remy said and I just looked at her.

"But you know what Roddy? You needed this push. Because you didn't appreciate her when she was fighting for the marriage. You left her in the ring by herself. So.. Hopefully now, you'll open your eyes. Because you've never dealt with a woman who held you accountable until you got with HeavenLeigh. And you mishandled it. So.. I guess you'll learn now." Remy said before she patted my back and she left out the hotel room, shutting the door behind her.

I just looked at the door for a moment, before I rubbed my face and sat back down. I tilted my head back against the couch and looked up at the ceiling.

"Hey babe" Skylar said walking in the house, and shutting the door behind her.

"Was good mamas. How you doing?" I asked walking up to her and wrapping my arms around her. She smiled a little standing on her tippy toes, giving me a kiss.

"I'm doing good, missed you all day.." She said wrapping her arms around my neck.

"I missed you too." I said.

"I just came back from being with Heaven. Went over her plans and things of that sort for the week." Skylar said.

"How's she doing?" I asked.

"Not good, it's like I can tell she's trying to mask it all but she can't. I feel so bad.." Skylar said and I sighed.

"I tried calling Roddy twice but he ain't answer." I said.

"I ain't worried about him and I don't know why you are either" Skylar said as we walked in the bedroom and I helped her take her jacket off.

I chuckled and said "He's my best friend. And he wrong as fuck, but that don't mean I ain't gone check on him either. I know it's eating him up mentally. And it's his fault yes, but I gotta keep his head above water too baby"

"Yeah I hear you. He's yo best friend, not mine. So I understand. It's just, Heaven is a woman, like me. So I feel her pain. You know?" She said.

"Absolutely. I get you." I said turning her around to face me, and I picked her up making her wrap her legs around me. She giggled giving me multiple kisses, I smiled and laid her down before hovering over her, helping her take off her shirt,

HeavenLeigh POV

"Hello?" I answered the phone as I had Honesty in my arms as she was asleep.

"Hey boo.. How you doing?" Remy asked me.

"I'm good" I said and she sighed.

"What?" I asked.

"HeavenLeigh. It's me. Your best friend." She said.

I squinted my eyes a bit before looking down at Honesty sleeping peacefully. I kissed her forehead, and sighed a bit.

"Remy.. I'm not gone lie. I'm a mess." I said.

"I can feel it." She said.

"I'm just so sad, so hurt. Broken. I just don't understand why he did this.." I said.

"HeavenLeigh I'm so sorry. It's so strange, it's like.. As your best friend I feel your pain right along with you. I hate that you're hurting like this." Remy said.

"I'll be alright. By grace, through faith. I pray all day. God will give me peace, and I'm sure He'll help me understand why this is happening. Or.. Maybe I never will. But I just know it's for the best." I said.

"That's right." Remy said.

"It's just.. Man, I can't sleep. I can't concentrate. I.. I feel like I'm losing it. Losing my mind a bit. I feel lost, just searching for God's guidance." I said, and she sighed.

"Heaven you are not losing your mind okay? It's just.. You were in love with a man, who couldn't follow through with his vows. That's all. Now listen.. Nicole is out of town visiting her mother, so, is it coo if I stay the night with you and Honesty? Keep you company. We can watch movies, lay up, eat. Talk. You can vent. Whatever you need." Remy said and I smiled.

That meant a lot.

"Of course." She said. "You know my crip ass soft for my bestie!" She added and I laughed shaking my head.

"Yeah I know. Yes! Please come" I said.

"Alright, give me 15 minutes okay? Finna get some gas and I'm gone stop at the liquor store and get us some snacks" She said.

"Sounds good to me. See you soon" I said.

"Aight" Remy said before we hung up the phone.

I stood up from the couch and carried Honesty upstairs, into my room and I laid her down in her crib.
