Walking home as the streetlights shine down on me, I hear dogs barking,sirens wailingand yelling. It takes me back to the day where everything was peaceful.The day everythingwrong , It was July, the hot sun beat down on my body, working in mama's tailor shop was my favourite way to pass time.Today I was working on a suit for the rich man on Elmwhile my mother was telling me to get a girlfriend,''Honestly, Ray there are dozens of young ,beautiful and wonderful women lined up just waiting for you to ask them out''. Ah yes, thislecture happens everyday almost like a routine, a small smile plays on my lips as I smell tamalesmy mother always keeps them as a small reward for us for helping out at Macimo's tailors.Then I saw him or to be more specific it, his defined chiseled jaw and broad chest but whatcaught my attention was his eyes the cool chocolate brown eyes, It was then I said seven wordsthat ruined my life forever,''Mama, I think this one is... beautiful. The rest is a blur the air in theshop turned chilly, my mother was trembling in anger, she yelled, she threw stuff around, tearsstreamed down her face as she swore and screamed, after that day she never spoke to me again.Later I had to go live with my aunt karen, because of my mistake, my mom got sick.Everything was my fault and that day it felt like my heart was ripped out of my body.Why couldn't I have been normal, my life was ruined because of my stupid, stupid,stupid heart.As I approached the house I wonder if this time I should try talking to her, instead I keep walkinguntil I get to Chad's house{aka my best friend's house}.I knock on the door and it doesn't takelong for his mom to open the door,"hi Ray how are you and your mom doing" "were are fine,
im just here to see chad." . she yells his name and he comes down to meet me. I found myself sleeping on their couch for the week quiet and in judgment as my heart ripped in pain.
