In the romantic city of Paris, the place where Alice lived, the environment was polluted, but somehow likable, it was her little paradise; having lost her parents at a fairly young age.

This city provided her a gateway to forget about her chaotic childhood. After some years, she finally got a glimpse of what happiness meant; on one side her best friend Emma and on the other side her love story with a Frenchie; Jazz.

The little kingdom she had settled on revolved around her in a pleasant harmony. Alice became a strong and independent girl living by herself in this harsh city. After years of toxic overthinking, she had finally turned off her OCD to start enjoying the present.

She had also accepted her status of gorgeous girl with big blue eyes recently after several years of denial. Everywhere she would go, boys would turn back and gazed at her, daydreaming about her style and angelic figures.

Her golden strands were long and slightly curled, giving her a glamorous french look, but she was still prestigious in the eye of the French people. She wasn't native to France rather she had migrated here a long time ago at the young age of 3 when her parent disappeared leaving her with her aunts Lys and Epiphinia.

Every day after classes, Alice and Emma would go to the school library. The surrounding was very pleasant and calm, perfect for the girls to explore the books and manuscript.

The library was well known around the globe as having the most important collections of relics and antics opened to public consultation.

The entrance gave to a humongous main room with 4 levels of wooden shelves mixed with green light spots and 8 giant golden abat-jours. It was also famous for the painting on its ceiling which represented 'France's revolution'.

The girls would roam around the musky shelves to calm their thirst of romance and fiction, both from past and present authors. Alice had picked up a passion in the analysis of old relics from the Arab world.

She was particularly astounded by the University of Al-Qaraouiyine which is the first and the oldest university in the world.

What makes it more interesting for her feminist soul was the fact that its founder was a woman.

The first time she read about this, she was so excited. It was something out imaginary compared to the western countries. Her grounded belief that in most part of the world, women didn't have any right was not founded.

She told Emma, "I think I found something amazing Em. Remember when France gave restricted right of education to young girls in 1850?"

Emma replied, "uhm."
Emma was not really into historical facts so she just flushed away Alice's question.

"Well guess what, I think I found something interesting. In the year 1141, a Muslim woman by the name of Fatima al Fahri founded the first university in the world."

Emma absorbed by her Italian literature replied nonchalantly, "yeah, great for her."

"Aren't you amazed about the rights of woman in this ancient civilization?" Alice retorted.

"It's not that I'm not interested, it's just that it frightens me. I mean what if I was born in the year 1100, 11 ....what?"

"1141, Em."
