As Alice fell from the 4th floor, she sensed the thin air wrapped around her body. It was enveloping her in a soothing shroud. Even though the situation was terrifying, it was also very peaceful at the same time.

The further Alice fell, the smaller the balcony appeared.

It was too late to try anything...

"They said that when you're about to pass away, your life parade before your eyes. I guess this saying was as fake as Mike's love for me. You have hurt me mike but I still love you. Every time I trust somebody, they show me why I shouldn't have."

"I have crawled upon this earth for so long yet so little. It's okay if I passed away today, I will stop to be a burden for the people that I am around. All this doesn't matter anymore. Now I am going to meet the only one who shall never broke my heart the way his creation did." Alice told herself with a slight smile and grieving heart.

She closed her eyes and let fate do what it's best at. She took one deep and last breathe as the blackness of the sky open up to her grief. She sighed and felt the sudden impact of the ground against the back of her head...

It was over...

On the other hand, as Mike saw Alice tripped, he tried to run to her rescue while the spikes pierced his body at different location. However this didn't stop his madness as he hustled through the thorns until they suddenly shattered.

"Why would her self-defence mechanism vanished just like that? Why would they shattered like ice? This can only mean one thing." He thought while having a weird sensation in his gut.

Mike peeked downwards and was met with the most horrible sight that he been given to see in his life. He saw Alice's lifeless body extended on the grass covered with what seem to be a thin layer of blood. He felt a sudden weight in his chest and a big pain in his neck. Time froze as a little trail of sweat ran down his neck.

His field of action got reduced and his vision grew dimmed. He knew that something horrible had happened but his mind refused categorically to link the dots.

It was better for him to live in denial than to accept the destructive fact of what had happened minutes ago. Mike looked at his his chest and saw the pounding of his heart through his shirt. It was violent and unstoppable.

He felt the need to vomit but didn't knew why. He wanted to cry but nothing came out.

His mind throttled until what had to happen, happened. As the pieces was being plot together, his stare became darken with fear and his breathing picked up.

When he finally realized the agonising truth, Mike hastily took the decision that the best thing to do was to jump from the 4th floor too.

He went near the edge and was ready to jump from the balcony but something stopped him. He wasn't in control anymore, he was paralyzed by an invisible force.

"Let go of me." He shouted.

He thought that something was maintaining him under its control but soon realized rather that it was his own body that was preventing him from killing himself.

He broke down on his knees and shivered uncontrollably. One by one the little droplets of salt ran down his rose skin.

He cried out, "My body, why are you doing this to me? Let me join her, I will never be able to live without her."
His knees became weak and his willpower gave up. His strength died out and let go off his body.

"Why have you done this my Alice? I have sacrificed my entire existence for you and this is how you rewarded me. By gifting me your death."
