"Why didn't you tell me you were an awful dancer!" Persephone laughed , shouting to Fabian so he could hear her over the music

"It might have put you off!" the boy laughed back continuing to dance horribly "My sister Molly has told me countless times how I have two left feet!"

"Clearly she isn't wrong!" she replied continuing to laugh

"Alright alright." the boy said as the song came to finish "I'll go get us some drinks, take a break from all his hard work we're doing" he joked , making his way over to the punch bowl which had already been spiked by 3 different students making the liquid taste ghastly. Fabian realised it was barely consumable after he drank a bit so he headed elsewhere to try and find a more appetising drink for him and his date.

Persephone on the other had made her way over to Remus , as she said she would , and they shared a dance to a muggle song that had managed to make its way onto the bands' set list.

"How is it going for you Remus?" she asked , not yelling , as the music was definitely not as loud as it had been a moment ago

"I'm having a great time. Normally , I hate these events" he chuckled

"I used to hate parties too" the girl admitted

"What made you change your mind?"

"I became bestfriends with Narcissa. That girl barely lets me turn down an opportunity to socialise" Persephone said whilst attempting to twirl Remus around but , since he was significantly taller than her she was failing miserably. "I've just thought about it. Surely since you're dragged to parties by James and Sirius , they shouldn't be that bad?"

"Dealing with a drunk Sirius and James is bad enough. Dealing with them trying to pick up girls whilst drunk gives me first hand embarrassement" the boy said twirling Persephone around instead

"Good thing Sirius is no longer picking up girls. He has you" Persephone smiled

"James hasn't been to bad recently either . He's had his eye on someone" Remus said giving the girl a suggestive look

"And you really think it's me?" she replied , pointing a finger at herself

"I bet you 2 galleons he's looking over here right now" Remus then said

"Fine" she agreed searching the hall, only to James ' eyes locked on her "Well i've lost 2 galleons. But that doesn't prove anything"

"He's always looking for you Seph."

"And?"

"Merlin you're both helpless. What I mean to say is that James is always interested in where you are and what you're doing. He loves spending time with you too." the boy informed , now swaying to the music.

"I just don't understand why?" she then said , not that she was confused with what Remus had told her - considering he was pretty straight forward. She was confused at the fact that there was a possibility that James liked her back. They had kissed before , but you can kiss without feelings and ever since their recent kiss she had slightly doubted that it meant anything to the speckled boy.

"Well when you both finally admit your feelings to eachother then you'll find out" Remus said an almost satisfied smirk coming to rest on his face

"Always with the suspense" Persephone rolled her eyes

"Better get your confession ready" Remus then said before walking off to find his boyfriend

"Percy" James greeted with a smile "Care to dance?"

"I'd love to" she replied , following the boy to the dance floor. The band had decided to play a slow song after all the fast paced music - which Persephone thought was extremely odd until she saw Sirius stood next to the guitarist giving both her and James a wink.

James brushed it off and placed a hand on her waist tugging her towards him softly. Persephone followed placing her hands around James' neck and beginning to sway to the music.

"You do look amazing tonight" he whispered sweetly into her ear

"So you've said" she whispered back into his ear, pulling them impossibly closer together

"I don't like Lily" he then said in the next breath, his head tucked comfortably in the crook of her neck

"You don't?"

"No , I don't" he replied

"Remus said you had your eye on someone. Who is it?" she then asked

"Someone special"

"I'm intrigued , who is it?"

"You" James said taking the girls face in between his hands , forcing her to look at him.

"Y-you what?"

"I like you a lot-" he got out before Persephone cut him off with a kiss. The action seemed to be a reoccurring thing between the two nowadays and both of them would tell you that they much prefer this to ignoring each other. "Percy. Want to ditch this party?" he breathed out, his breath ragged

"Would love to" the girl replied out of breath.

James took her arm and together the two ran through the crowd of students , gaining looks from a lot of them but they couldn't care less , and then they ran all the way to the Gryffindor common room and into the marauders dorm.

"James are-" Persephone was cut of by James kissing her scar. The boy stares at the feature so much that he had memorised it's exact placement and despite him not being able to see it , he knew exactly where it was.

"I'm more than sure Percy" he breathed as his hands began to travel to the zip towards the back of her dress "Are you?"
