chapter 30
No one really knows what the silent agreement between James and Persephone was but neither of them had spoken to each other for the entire night. James had gone off following Lily Evans who was actually paying him some attention and Persephone had gotten herself stuck with Edward Junnon - how he got in she'll never know.
"Yeah my father took us to visit last summer" he bragged running a hand through his blonde curtains
"I've always wanted to visit Paris" Persephone sighed picking up her drink again
"I could take you" the boy winked "We are going for a day trip just before school"
It was probably the tipsy Seph that said "yes" because a day with the blonde boy sounds like a nightmare any other time
"Brilliant. I'll write to you and let you know when" he smirked wrapping an arm around her shoulder and leading her to the kitchen
"James? Are you alright?" the ginger girl asked patting him on the shoulder with concern
"Lilyflower!" James gave a small smile as he turned around causing the girl to blush a little
"Are you okay?" she asked again
"Never been better" he cheered trying to avoid the pool of jealousy in his stomach as the Junnon boy was wrapping his arm around Persephone and telling her to dance
"Care to dance Lily?" he offered holding his hand out to her
"Er sure" she replied letting him lead her to the middle of the living room besides Persephone and the blonde
"What on earth is he doing?" Narcissa hissed at Sirius
"Godric knows" he muttered shaking his head
"They're going to get nowhere they are both too stubborn" she groaned
"Huh?"
"Persephone isn't a jealous person she's not going to freak at the idea of Lily with James -"
"-and James wants a reaction from her because he's jealous" Sirius finished for her "Shit"
"Exactly. I say we get a game going I can't stand to watch this anymore. Junnon is hot though I'll give him that"
"No you just have a thing for blondes" Sirius corrected laughing
"That may be true" the girl laughed back grabbing a bottle of firewhiskey and some cups
"Sirius come help me set this up"
"You actually want my help?" the boy stumbled slightly in shock
"Yes" the blonde muttered quietly
"Sorry what was that?" the Black boy asked dramatically putting a hand to his ear
"Yeah yeah whatever" she waved off "Charm it so there's dares in the bottom of the cups" she ordered finishing to layout the ones on her side of the dining room table
"Of course m'lady" he bowed before charming the table "Games anyone?" he yelled with enthusiasm attracting attention from most of the teenagers "Okay split into teams and we'll start"
"Come on Seph" Narcissa shouted over the people pulling her friend away from the blonde boy
"What are we playing?" the girl leant into her ear
"Beer pong with firewhiskey"
"Brilliant" she clapped positioning herself infront of the table directly opposite James Potter.
"You ready Percy?" he taunted with a smirk
"Of course" she responded, ignoring the look her friend was passing to Sirius. The light skinned girl put on a face of concentration before throwing the small ball straight into one of the cups and giving James a wink.
James picked up the cup downed it in one then paused to read it. Admit your feelings was an odd dare for this game.
"Lilyflower I love you" he yelled throwing his hands on the air and announcing it to everyone
"Good for you" he heard her yell back from the corner where she was sat with Remus and Peter.
"Unexpected" Sirius mouthed to his cousin the same time as she mouthed "Typical"
James turned around and got ready to throw the ball back toward Persephone's side of the table. Taking his glasses off and giving them a little clean before releasing the small ball and it landing right in the far right cup.
After rolling her eyes Persephone downed the drink and read her dare. Kiss the hottest boy in the room She pondered it for a short second before walking towards James. Then kissing Fabian who was stood behind him.
"Merlin" Sirius muttered slapping a hand to his forehead "Stubborn" Narcissa mumbled
This went on for a while. James ended up targeting all of his dares at Lily whilst Persephone had easily gotten every boy in the room hooked on her. Birthday girl indeed.
"Alright guys sober up. I don't think mum wants to come back to knocked out kids" Nicholas shouted turning on the lights in the living room
"No fun Nicooo" James slurred throwing an arm around his brother's shoulder
"Come on James you never normally drink this much sober up" his brother scolded before storming off
