7. The Queen and her Champion

Hello everyone here is the new chapter of the fan fiction. it is twice as long as usual the reason for that I explain below. It is a chapter with a lot of Amourshipping and also a bit of Laserblashipping. i hope you like this chapter.

Ash and I came into the press room of the stadium, which was just filling up with journalists. Ash and I sat down at the places where our name tags were placed. When all the journalists had sat down, the first questions were asked.

These were relatively normal: which type is the best, what is your favourite Pokémon, which is the best Pokémon for fights or performances? but then came a question which was obviously a trap: "Mr Ketchum you and Lady Yvonne seem to get on very well at the Victory Ceremony, do you know each other?"

"Yes, Serena and I have known each other since we were children, and for the last year we have travelled through Kalos together," Ash replied. this simple answer made me realise that Ash had no idea what he had just kicked off. all the Boulevard journalists stood up and asked various questions. "Are you and the Kalos Queen a couple?", "Have you kissed before?", "How long has your relationship been going on exactly?", "How did you meet exactly?" It was exactly the last question that Ash needed to hear from the question tsunami.

"I first met Serena in Kanto; she was with me at Professor Oak's summer camp. She had gotten lost and injured. I bandaged her injury and brought her back to camp."

The questions didn't manage to get any emotion out of me but Ash's telling of the story of how we met managed to break through my façade and my face turned red. It was a feast for the journalists, who pounced on me like Mandibuzz.

"Miss Yvonne, your face is flushed do you have feelings for him?" a journalist asked me.

"Ash and I have a purely platonic friendship," I replied after regaining my composure.

"But that wasn't my question," the journalist replied.

"But that's the only answer I give to such questions and if you don't want the press conference to end now, I advise you to change the subject," I said and made it clear to the journalists that they now had to be careful what questions they asked.

the press conference went on for about twenty minutes, after which Ash went with me to the changing rooms where I changed while Ash waited for me in front of them. outside the side entrance of the stadium Clemont, Bonnie, Brock and Dawn were waiting. Dawn and Ash walked towards each other and gave each other a high-five. If this had happened yesterday, I would have been jealous but knowing that Dawn had a boyfriend I didn't care. Brock and Ash shook hands and hugged like brothers. after that Ash shook hands with Bonnie and Clemont also high fiving each time.

We were informed that there was a party for the champion tonight at Parfum Palace and that we would all be picked up at 7pm.

It was now 4pm and we decided to eat something as a group before Bonnie, Dawn and I decided to go shopping the boys said they had things to do too. we decided to split up and meet in the hotel lobby at 6:45pm.

Dawn, Bonnie and I immediately went to the shopping district of Lumiose City. When Bonnie was in the dressing room to get a new dress for tonight Dawn whispered in my ear " do you think he understood your romantic gesture before the fight?"

"I don't think so," I replied disappointedly.

"it's a miracle if he hasn't forgotten again." she replied with a giggle.

"Sad that something like that is actually a possibility with him" I said dejectedly

"it's your own fault for falling in love with such an idiot" dawn said, still giggling.
