9. Final Days in kalos

so new chapter. I finished faster than I would have thought. and while preparing for the now actual story with the new region, I noticed a mistake. I forgot that there is already an Almia region in Pokémon lore. so I changed the name. the new region is now called Almenia region. The reason I'm not sticking with the Almia region is that it doesn't really make sense. Almia in Pokémon lore refers to Hokkaido Japan like other regions such as Kanto, Johto, Sinnoh and Hoenn. The region I created, however, is supposed to refer to Germany because of its proximity to France, on which the Kalos region is based. that's why the change. So now that the annoying part is done, I hope you enjoy reading.

Ash POV

it's been five days since the day I became champion and serena and I became a couple. the next day we wanted to go on a date and understood why Diantha was always travelling incognito. We couldn't even get to the first station without being besieged by journalists. at the end of the day we were glad when we arrived at the hotel and the journalists were kept out by the hotel security. The next day Serena had the talk with Grace to tell her about her plans and to say that she and I are together. At the same time, I told my mum about our plans and that we were dating, which prompted my mum to ask me more about serena. that's when my mum first heard serena's last name and it turned out grace and my mum are old friends. which explains why serena was at Prof. Oak's summer camp in the first place. They both agreed and we booked our flight tickets, leaving from Lumiose airport tomorrow. After a talk from Prof. Sycamore we decided to go to the north of Almenia region to a city called "Musichabour-city" where Prof. Daisy has her lab. after that I only had to make one decision, which Pokémon's to take with me on the new journey. I decided to take Greninja and Pikachu with me. I'll give all the others back to Prof. Oak before the flight. on the third day we met up again with all our close friends from Kalos. yesterday we said goodbye to Dawn and Brock. Dawn flies to Hoenn to visit May and Max. Brock flies back to Kanto and visits my mother in Pallet Town with a present from me and Serena. Today we bought some new camping stuff and packed our things for the departure, and we spent the evening in the prism tower to have a last dinner with Clemont and Bonnie and spent the night there Serena slept with Bonnie in the room and I with Clemont. when Clemont and I were in his room I lay on the couch and Clemont in his bed. and we started to talk.

"How did your first date with serena go? I couldn't ask you that before because we weren't alone for a moment." Clemont asked with great interest.

I turned my head to him and said hesitantly: "well... actually... not at all."

"Huh what happened?" he asked puzzled by my question.

"Before we even got to the first stop of our date we were besieged by paparazzi." I replied dejectedly.

"How did this happen? you didn't post on social media, did you?" asked Clemont.

"Serena didn't post anything and I don't even have social media because I was only interested in Pokémon battles until now. we assumed that someone from the hotel saw us walking out hand in hand and that person posted it." I said still slightly angry about the paparazzi interrupting my date with serena.

"Maybe it's time you got a social media account," Clemont added.

"yes, you're right I can't just focus on Pokémon battles as a champion I'm more in the public eye so I need to be more aware of how I present myself. Could you help me with that? I don't want to ask Serena, so she doesn't think I'm a hopeless case on that subject," I asked uncertainly.

"I'm happy to help you, but I think Serena would help you without thinking badly of you in any way." Clemont assured me.

"Maybe, still I would be embarrassed" I reply to Clemont.
