A New Journey

5. The Elite Four

Hello everyone I hope you had a good week. in today's chapter Ash fights the Elite Four. it's the first time I'm describing a Pokemon battle so please don't expect too much. The battlefields are like the Kalos League.

ASH

It is a beautiful evening in Lumiose City. The sun is setting, and the clouds have a light purple-orange hue. I stood on my balcony overlooking the city. I just took a shower and sat down on the chair on the balcony with a bottle of water. I am thinking about a strategy how to defeat all four opponents tomorrow. I thought about my journey in the Kalos region about the friends and the Pokémon's I met, about the Gym leaders I fought and finally my three companions. Clemont the smart Gym Leader of Lumiose City and loving brother who is a great cook. Bonnie the loving little sister of Clemont who has already become like a little sister to me and the only one who has a legendary Pokémon as a friend. and Serena the girl I met at professor oak's Pokémon Camp, the beautiful Kalos Queen, the friend who always helped me when I was feeling bad and the lady, I feel for like I have never felt for anyone before. in my mind I did not notice how late it was getting and how the girl in the room to my right came out.
"Ash, I don't think it's healthy to sit out here with wet hair. it wouldn't be smart to be sick tomorrow." Serena says to me worriedly.
"you're right Serena, I was so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice how late it was getting." I replied to Serena.
"Oh yes, what were you thinking about?" she asked me with surprise in her voice.
"About our trip and the people we met," I answered her question.
"Anyone in particular?" she asked me.
"well, when you pulled me out of my thoughts, I was thinking about you" I replied without really thinking about the answer.
"Whhaaattt?!" was the only thing she could get out, almost shrieking.
because I was looking at the skyline of Lumiose city all the time during our conversation, I couldn't see her face, but when the sudden shriek started, I turned my head to her in shock and saw her face flushed.
"Serena, are you okay?" I asked uncertainly.

"Yes, yes, I was just a little surprised by your answer. Why was I in your thoughts?" Serena answered me with a redness in her face and a question.
"I was just thinking about how you're different from everyone else I've travelled with, how you help me when I'm down and lastly how pretty you are." when I realised I was saying that out loud and not just thinking it, I suddenly blushed.
"Oh, Mr Ketchum, you think I'm pretty?" she asked me with a teasing undertone.
" ehm so ehm you are very pretty." I answered a little shyly.

"I've never seen you so nervous." she says giggling

I wanted to get out of this situation as quickly as possible because I was very embarrassed, so I pretended to yawn.

"Oh shit it's late I should go to sleep" I said quickly

"Aha, yes you should go to sleep so that you will be fit tomorrow. Good night!" she said smiling

"Good night serena!" I replied with a laugh and went to my hotel room.

I fell asleep quickly and got up early the next morning to get my team ready for battle. After a certain time, Serena, Clemont, and Bonnie arrived and we walked together as a foursome to the renovated Lumiose Stadium, just like in the old days.
When we arrived at the entrance of Lumiose Stadium, I heard someone call my name. I turned around and saw an old friend. the girl with grey eyes, dark blue hair, and her signature Pokémon Piplup on her shoulder. Next to her my best friend the tall, tanned Gym Leader from Kanto.
"Dawn and Brock, what are you doing here?" I asked them.
"You don't think we're going to miss that elite four fight of your brother?" replied Brock.
"He's right, we'd never miss it." added Dawn.
"Hey Ash, how about you introduce us" Bonnie interrupted us
"oh yes! Serena, Bonnie, and Clemont these are two of my old friends Brock and Dawn" I introduced my old friends.
"Dawn, Brock, this is Serena, Bonnie, and Clemont. They are my companions here in Kalos. Brock, Clemont is a gym Leader here in Kalos." I added
"cool man" says Brock as he shakes hands with Clemont.
"Dawn, Serena is a performer, it's similar to the coordinator, she has the title of Kalos Queen" I spoke to Dawn.
"You are the Kalos Queen?! I read about you on the plane and watched videos of your performances on my Rotom phone in the hotel room. You are amazing" Dawn spoke to Serena with euphoria.
They both started talking to each other but were interrupted by Bonnie.
"Dawn, can I pet Piplup?" asked Bonnie.
"Of course Bonnie" she handed Piplup to Bonnie.
Everyone was engrossed in their conversations until I suddenly had to interrupt everyone: "Guys, I have to go into the stadium, I shouldn't be late for my own fight".
"You're right Ash, I'll make sure Brock and Dawn come with us to the VIP box" Serena said to me, for which I was very grateful.
"awesome, a VIP box" Dawn added
"Oh yeah Ash, your mum told me to tell you this, you can do it honey, we'll all be watching from Pallet Town." with those words Brock encouraged me.
