Aonung x Reader (enemies to lovers)

I'm not really following the actual story line of the movie if you couldn't tell, let me know if you want me to or not! 

-And theirs a bit more romance in this chapter-

**A few days later**

 Things have calmed down a bit, Ronal and Tonowari and our parents have agreed to let us stay since Aonung had a big part in the fight. But we need to help out more.

Loak and Neteyam are still cautious around Aonung, I'm not sure if they'll ever befriend him like our parents hoped. Me on the other hand, I don't hold grudges against people for very long, that doesn't mean I like him, but I'll still work with him. 

Tsireya and I have been swimming around with our Ilus for a few hours and we decide to take a break. She meets up with Loak leaving me some alone time. I begin by walking towards the forest were I go to sit by a river and watch all the small creatures live their lives. It feels very peaceful until I hear footsteps, a small group of ocean Na'vi walk up to me. 3 boys, and their laughing. I only recognize one of them, Rotxo. He had been with us while we were training since he's close with Aonung.

"Wow it's true! I've never seen a Na'vi with 5 fingers!" One laughs in disbelief.

I stand up simple ignoring them, I try to pass by them but another one grabs my hand.

"Hey! Let go you Skxawng!" I pull my arm away from his grip. They continue to laugh at me.              Skxawng=Idiot

"What a freak" I hear one of them whisper.

I try to push through them but they still won't let me pass. why won't they let me go? I ball my fists up but push back the urge to punch them all, anger taking over me.

"Let me go, now" I say sternly 

They all act scared before chuckling. I start tearing up, but resist the urge to let it show.

"Rotxo! Whats going on?" I hear a voice come from behind them. It was Aonung, he didn't know what was happening..

Once he is next to Rotxo he sees me, his ears flatten and I can tell hes confused. He stares at me, I'm pretty sure he can tell im tearing up. After more silence he looks at Rotxo and his friends.

"What is going on here?" He asks.

"Nothing, we are just making a new friend! You're Y/N right?" Rotxo laughs

He looks from Rotxo to me and can tell thats not whats going on..

"Y/N, why are you with them?" Aonung questions.

I roll my eyes

"It doesn't matter" I mumble, pushing them aside, but this time they don't stop me.

I can hear faint sounds of arguing, but I don't care anymore. I pick up my pace, running as fast as I can, until I reach a cliff where I can see the whole Island. I fall to my knees and cry. Why can't I just be normal?

I cry for a few more minutes before wiping my tears and sitting in silence, hoping it lasts longer this time. I breath in the cool air and calm myself, taking in the gorgeous view. This time I get a good half hour of peace by myself before someone interrupts it, again.

"Do it!" Aonung demands, he had Rotxo by the ear, dragging him next to me.

"I-I'm sorry.. Me and my friends where just joking around" Rotxo sighs.

I stood in shock, Why did Aonung make him do this?

"Yea whatever, I know Aonung made you do this. But I'll forgive you, only this once" I reply

Aonung slaps Rotxo in the head, he hisses but runs off to meet up with his friends. Now it was just me and Aonung at the top of the cliff.

"Why'd you do that? It's not like you didn't do the same thing a few days ago" I blurt out, trying to calm myself.

"I'm trying to give you a chance, you need to stand up for yourself from those skxawngs!" Aonung stated.

Since when did he care?

"Thanks for looking out for me, but im good" I say stubbornly, it makes him scoff.

"Admit it, you need my help, I practically saved you!" Aonung defends himself.

Thats true..

"Your right, thanks.. I guess I owe you" I tease, he smirks.

"Can't wait for the day that happens" He replies cheekily.

We continue to banter for a while, I was in disbelief of how well we were getting along with each other, it felt.. weird. Although we were having a good conversation, I came up here for a reason. And he wasn't going to stop me. I yell loudly, a calling sound. My Ikran quickly swooshes into the air landing gracefully next to me.

"Whoa! That things going to take me out!" Aonung almost falls over.

"That thing Is my Ikran, Mina. And i'm going to take her for a ride" I giggle

After a few minutes of petting her, Aonung slowly walks closer, giving her a closer look. 

"Pet her if you'd like" I say, he looks at me before raising his had to stroke her neck.

"She doesn't feel slimy like my Ilus, its odd" He says.

I ignore him, hoping on her and connecting our ques (The long braid on the back of the Na'vis).    I close my eyes as I feel myself connecting to Mina, taking a deep breath before opening my eyes and look at Aonung.

"Wanna ride?" I say

"Are you crazy? You're trying to kill me!" He says, looking shocked I asked.

"Don't be a baby, I rode your Ilus, you can do it, unless your a... chicken" I tease

He gives me a warning glance, standing there, deciding if he should or not.

"Fine, but its your fault if I die" He reminds me.

"I'm a pro, you won't die!" I assure him.

I help him onto my Ikran, he sits awkwardly behind me, not sure how close i'm willing him to get.

"Don't be shy, you'll need to put your arms around my waist, unless you want to fall off" I explain, grinning. He is uneasy but slowly moves closer, our bodys touch. 

I signal to my Ikran to move closer to the edge, preparing to fly. Aonung reaches his hands around my body and grips onto me, tightly. I can feel his chest pressed up against my back, and his heart beat was fast, really fast.

"ready?" I ask

"No I-" He responds shakily, but before he could finish Mina soars through the air, Aonung holding onto my waist tighter than before, I can see his eyes are closed, I laugh and fly higher, only to slow down and fly at a calmer pace.

"Open your eyes, chicken" I smirk.

He opens his eyes and loosens his grip on me, I can finally breath a bit better. His heart beat slows but is still fast. He looks at the view in awe, I remember what it was like, the first time being in the air. I couldn't stop flying my Ikran around the forest. It was magical.

After what feels like a few minutes, we return to the cliff we flew off of. We both hop off and onto the hard rock. I pet Mina before she returns to the other Ikrans. 

I hadn't noticed but it had gotten significantly darker out. Fear hit me as I realized I never told anyone where I was, how long where we riding for?

"We have to get back before everyone realises we've been gone for so long!" Aonung says, reading my mind.

We hurry back to the huts, but before going our separate ways Loak runs up to me, and he doesn't look happy. Oh no
