How long has it been? Five years to the day since Shouta first disappeared. June 7, 3424 was the day Shouta disappeared, now it was June 7, 3429. He would be 22, turning 23 later that year.
Hizashi and Oboro never did well on the anniversary of the day their boyfriend went missing. Mainly working themselves half to death to ignore the darkness that loomed over them on the day.
They had arrested Sorochi Yo the day that encounter had happened, but they couldn't get anything out of him. In fact, he seemed to be nothing more than a shell of his former self. He didn't help their case, but he was unfit to live in the public, which means he had to be condemned to a psychiatric hospital. It didn't seem to help, he's in the same shape he was the day they found him.
A month after that encounter, they ran into the individual whom they believed to be the one who attacked Sorochi Yo, whom they believed to be Shouta.
When they saw the man, he had a child with him, which confused to two, but there was the person who might have been their lost boyfriend, they really wanted to speak to him. The child seemed angry to them, he told the man suspected to be Shouta and they headed off.
When they followed them (just wanting a closer glance at the man), he was nearly toppled over in pain, seemingly coming from his head. The child at his side seemed terrified, so that's why Oboro decided to try to help. Maybe he'd be able to confirm if that was Shouta or not.
The man told them his name was Tanaka Akashi, and the boy was his son Tenko. Neither of them believed it. The man had his hair in his face, so they couldn't see him that well, but they got the feeling this man was messed up. Something about the way he spoke. It wasn't like Shouta, or anyone they met. It just didn't feel natural to them.
The boy willingly went with 'Akashi', and seemed happy to go with him, though they still worried about him.
When they went home, they got to searching who Tanaka Akashi was, turns out, there is no Tanaka Akashi, nor is there a Tanaka Tenko. Whoever those people were lied about their identities. For what reason though?
They couldn't help but have a strange feeling about the whole ordeal.

Back to the current day. They never saw those two people since, but felt like they were important, so they were trying to locate them.
The phone rang. Oboro picked it up.
"Hello?" He asked.
"Heya Shirakumo," the cheerful voice of Kayama replied back to him. "Did you guys get the job?" She asked.
Kayama sent in applications to work at UA for Hizashi and Oboro. She was trying to be a good friend and give them something else to focus on besides Shouta's disappearance.
"Let me check," Oboro replied to his friend. She was basically his older sister at this point. Hizashi's too. If Shouta were here, him three. They loved her a lot.
Oboro checked his emails, Hizashi had overheard what Kayama and Oboro were saying and checked his too.
Oboro and Hizashi saw the emails saying that they had in fact been hired.
"We were..." Oboro kind of mumbled into the phone.
     "What?" Kayama asked.
"We're hired," Hizashi spoke, Kayama hearing him through the phone.
"That's fantastic!" Kayama cheered. "Did you get the positions you wanted?"
"Yep, english teacher," Hizashi told her.
"I didn't," Oboro started. "I applied to be a hero training teacher."
The position Oboro wanted would have meant he would have been with the students during their practical training, watching and correcting their actions and methods of fighting. He did not obtain this position.
"What one did you get?" Kayama asked.
"Class 1-A homeroom teacher..." he trailed off. "What happened with Mr. Combustion? Did he quit?" He asked.
Mr. Combustion was Oboro, Hizashi, and Shouta's first year homeroom teacher, he was a nice guy, but seemed to change after failing to save a student.
"Yeah, he said he felt like he couldn't train students properly anymore," Kayama explained.
"That sucks, he was a good teacher," Hizashi added in.
"Congrats on getting those jobs though. Are you going to accept them?" Kayama asked.
"Yeah, I will," Hizashi replied. Oboro really didn't want to, he wanted to focus on finding his boyfriend, but his boyfriend who was still with him needed him too...
"Yeah, me too," Oboro added after Hizashi.
"Great, can't wait to start working with you guys next year. Make sure to speak to Nezu soon."
"We will," Hizashi chimed in.
"Okay, I have to go guys. Love you, bye," Kayama called into the phone.
"Love you too, bye," Hizashi said.
"You too, bye." Oboro hung up the phone.
Since Shouta disappeared, Kayama got into the habit of telling the two men she loved them. They don't quite know why she started to say that. Maybe in case they disappeared or died they would know she loved them. Or maybe it was because she wanted to help make them still feel loved by another. Whatever the reason, it did help the two a lot, though they'd never tell her that.
The two men then accepted the jobs, scheduling a meeting with Nezu which would happen next week. Hizashi seemed excited, Oboro wasn't that much.
