Because it was only the first day, we didn't do much with the project. I wanted to explore C's mansion, but I definitely would get lost. I'm mean, this bro had 1876 stories with 1949301&18 rooms on each. And that's no exaggeration.

"Do you need anything, Bat? You seem distracted." C asked me. I said, "I'm fine. I've never been in a house like this before. Why didn't you tell me you were a rich boy?"
"Because I was scared for how'd you react."
"Why would it bother me? And if it did, you have money and could afford another friend."
He smiled to himself before getting up to leave the room. I didn't know if I should follow him so I just waited.

A few minutes passed and C returned. "Why'd you leave?" I asked him. He just ignored my question and sat back down on the floor with me. C switched the conversation back to the project.

We got a few pages of notes and brainstorms done before I started to get hungry. "What do you have for food?" I asked C. It would be really funny if he had this big house but no food. "Do you want to go to the kitchen? Or I could order us something. Whatever you want, just ask," He said.

I wanted to see more of his house so I asked to go to the kitchen. That mother f*cker said which one. HE. HAS. MORE. THAN. ONE. KITCHEN. Why would anybody need more than one kitchen?? I guess 'sir' is a needy boy..(😏😏i am so sorry)

We went to the closest one to us, which was on the first floor. C told me to look through and find something that seemed edible. I just grabbed cereal.

"So," I said, uncomfortably in this new place, "why would your parents just send you off? Sorry if this is a personal question." C laughed and said, "They, let's just say they have a reputation in Philadelphia. Having a child, especially an unplanned one, would not look good for them." I had way more questions about them from his answer but I didn't want to push it.

When we finished eating, C took me back to where we were before. All of the mess we made while brainstorming had been picked up while we were away. It looked untouched, except for our backpacks, but they too were out of the way.

We just stayed in there and hung out until it got late. "I should probably get going," I said while picking up my backpack. "I'll walk you to the door then. If you need a ride I can arrange one for you." C said. I asked if he would.

We got to the front door and C started talking to me again. "About what you said earlier, that it shouldn't matter what you think of me, I just want you to know that it does. Your opinion on me is more important than my own." For some reason, C saying this made me blush. I wasn't attracted to him, but I can admit that he is very charismatic. Not knowing what to say, I just sort of laughed. Giggled, some would say.

The ride C got me was in an actual limo. A limo. He walked me out to the car. "Could you, not tell anyone at school about this?" He asked me before I got in the limo. I nodded because he sounded like he was being very serious. "Thank you. Text me when you get home so I know you're safe." There he goes again with the charisma. I can sort of understand why the girls our year are swooning over him. Not that I ever would. He's my best friend.
