Life and death, trivial things in the eyes of some. Easily grasping through the fingers of some.  She was no exception.

Gods, handing their power down to people who are undeserving of such. But who is to make that call but then one themself?

That's where it gets complicated.

___________

In a state where one can control who dies, why wouldn't there be the opposite? Being able to undo death itself.

[NAME] looked downwards at her desk, her fingers tapping the wooden surface as she listened to her teacher babble on.

Rolls her eyes, she glanced downwards. A yawn threatened to escape her lips as she reached downwards to grab something.

In doing so she noticed something in her desk, narrowing her eyes she slyly grasped it into her slender fingers.

Narrowing her eyes she read the title, clicking her tongue she quickly place it into her bags. Hoping no one noticed she stood up. The bell signaling class was over.

Letting out a breath, she grabbed her bag clenching her against her form. She mindless walked through the court yard, ignoring the stares from passerby's.

Though, glancing out of the corner of her eye she saw something suspicious. A figure in the background was bent over looking at the ground. Having hope no one saw them as well.

She shook her head deciding to mind her own business. Continue to pace herself, she later found herself at home.

Her pen fidgeting between her fingers as she studied her work sheet. Though deciding to take a break, she stood up.

Bending down looking for something in her bag, she paused. Picking up the notes book she turned a page, writing was written the cover.

The human whose name is written is this book shall be protected from death.

The note will not take effect unless the writer has their persons face is in their mind when writing their name. Thus preventing people with the same name being affected.

If the user does not write the name within a certain amount of time of thinking it will not happen.

The user is able to write down names of the living to protect them from specific circumstances, but not overall.

The user is able to bring people back from the dead, but only those who have died within the same day. If later it will not work.

[Name] looked downwards at the words, a small smirk appearing on her face. Though her thoughts were easily interrupted by a knock upon the door.

Quickly sliding the notebook back into her bag. She got up and approached the door opening it. Her brother looked down at her, she merely looked back in a questioning manner.

"Dinner is ready." He spoke, her gaze never leaving her as she nodded in response slowly turning from him.

"Okay. I'll be down in a moment." She uttered motioning for him to leave.

He stood there for a moment longer before turning around and leaving. She let out a breath of relief.

Knowing she needed to keep this to herself, she decided she would do something about it. Biting her tongue she walked down the stairs, her hair swaying behind her.

Upon sitting at the table, her brother stared at her. She shifted uncomfortably while looking away from him, scared that he may have known something.

Opening his mouth he began to speak, his tone very stern: "How come you haven't told me? I find it disappointing that your grades have been slightly lower."

She let out a breath she didn't know she was holding. Looking up at him she replied; "I've been dealing with a few things. They will go back up soon."

She continued to stare at his questioning stare, but eventually he nodded. Eventually after dinner she made her way upstairs.

Turning on the tv, she continued to scribble her notes mindlessly. Though suddenly pausing when hearing of a sudden death during a hostage situation.

She furrowed her brows slightly, confusion spread across her features as she stared. Biting her lip, she thought to herself: 'How could that possibly happen..? A heart attack out of no where?'

Shaking it off she tore her eyes away from the tv, she stretched deciding she needed to get out. Upon exiting the house, she made her way toward the convenience store.

She mindless walked through the entrance, minding her own and not noticing the guy standing by the magazines.

A few moments passed before screams could be heard, snapping her attention away. She glanced outside, seeing a man had been run over and a woman freaking out.

She looked around in confusion, noticing the man still standing here looking out the window. Shaking off the feeling she had she walked outside towards her home. The ending of an eventful day.
