"How was school today, Jaeyunnie?" Heeseung asks the younger as they sat on the couch. "It was okay..." Jake says recalling his day "Oh! My bully apologized to me thanks to my friend, so that was good" Jake says with all the excitement he could muster, which wasn't much. He really missed Jay, really badly.
"Well that's a good thing, right? Why do you seem so down, though?" Heeseung asks seeing right through his facade. Jake huffed, should he tell Heeseung? Heeseung didn't go to school with him so the chances of him figuring out that it's Jay and telling him, are low. Lower than Jungwon's.
As long as he doesn't tell Heeseung who it is right? "Well... it's my crush" Heeseung's eyes widened a bit. "You- you have a crush?! Do I know them?" Jake nods leaning on Heeseung's shoulder with a sigh. "... I don't know I'm not able to see him" Heeseung frowned, Heeseung was right there... Jake likes someone else.
Someone that Heeseung might know. "Why not?" Heeseung strains to say cooly. "Well I won't be able to see him until school tomorrow" Jake complains. With the two being close, Heeseung has met a few of Jake's friends from school but he didn't remember a lot of them too well. He wondered who it was?
"Well, let's do something that will cheer you up, huh? Do you want some ramyeon?!" Jake nods eagerly. "Yes! Seonggie wouldn't let me eat it for days, I've been deprived" Jake whines. "Well you can have as much as you want, okay Jaeyunnie?" Jake gives another happy nod with a bright smile.
"I'll help you" Jake says skipping to the kitchen, before skidding to a stop, he was reminded of when he tried to make breakfast for him and Jay, he was sad then but he laughs at it lightly now. "What's so funny?" Heeseung chuckles at the younger, heating up the water.
"I was reminded of the last time I tried to cook for Jay and I. I burnt the entire meal" Heeseung put his attention on the water again, irritated at the mention of the younger. He gives an awkward chuckle "Well I'm sure you won't burn the ramyeon right?" Jake playfully shoves him to the side "Of course, I won't"
Jake was in charge of the seasoning and he asked Heeseung how he likes his ramyeon. "I like mine extra spicy but since we're sharing it, I'll eat it however you want"Heeseung smiles in a teasing way. "Are you saying, I can't handle it?" Jake grumbles. "No... I'm just saying the way I eat it is too spicy for you"
Jake glares at him. "That's not true, you've made the ramyeon before, that was nothing. You can't even call that spicy" Jake huffs. "You're right because I don't make spicy ramyeon when I'm sharing it with you. It indeed was not spicy at all" Heeseung smirks. "Fine! Show me what you use" Jake says. "Are you sure?" "Quit playing Heeseung. I'm gonna show you"
After the two finally finish playing, with Heeseung finding different ways to initiate skinship, the ramyeon was done. Jake tries his best to quietly sniffle but Heeseung hears it, laughing at him. "It's hot isn't it. I told you, it's okay if you can't handle it" Heeseung teases. "It-its not" Jake sniffs.
"Jaeyunnie, you're face is literally beet red and you're sweating a lot" Heeseung says. "I'm fine" Jake says making Heeseung rolls his eyes "Do you want some water?" Jake shakes his head, sweat droplets getting on the table. He shook his head before getting paper towels for the younger.
He grabs the younger's face and begins wiping the sweat off "At least get paper towels. Do you want to eat sweaty noodles..." Jake looks up at him, making him realize how close they were, he freezes mid wipe. "...Hey..." Jake starts softly "You're red too. And you were talking about me!" Jake says.
Heeseung backs up, he was blushing! He was relieved Jake didn't think anything of it.
Niki walked in the cafeteria, he greeted Jake and Jay before going over to his table where his friends were, he assumed Jungwon was busy with student council work. "I'm surprised that asshole, Sunghoon hasn't come back here in a while" one says not even greeting Niki. "Yeah, he probably got scared" another says before turning to Niki.
"I added you to the group chat, did you see it?" Niki nods "good, now you'll get the info of the next team hang out" he smiles at Niki, who nods weakly. "But how come I wasn't in it before?" Niki asks. "Hmm, not sure Sophomore but you're in it now" another one says. "Yeah, no need to whine" someone else says.
"What? I'm not whining-" Niki starts but is cut off. "Chill, don't be mean to the sophomore"
It was Sunghoon's free period, so he decided to walk around campus a bit as he usually did, when he couldn't help but over hear something, another usual. "Why would you add him to the group chat?!" Someone yells. "Oh shut up, just make a new one without him" another says.
Sunghoon knew exactly who they were. The basketball team. "Who the hell does he think he is?! Demanding things from us" another says. "Shut up, you were the main person he defended against Sunghoon" another says. "I'll beat that sophomore and Sunghoon's ass!" Sunghoon rolls his eyes.
"Sure, whatever. Just focus don't do anything, you dope" the first one says. "Yeah I know. The plan" the third one says. "What's the plan again?" Another says. "To get him kicked off the team dumb ass!" The fourth one says. "When are we doing that?" The second says. "It should be done soon. He's annoying"
"Don't worry we'll do it at the next practice in two days" Sunghoon got tired of listening and walked away. He wished he could do something but it was too late, Niki didn't listen to him. Sunghoon stopped caring for him, so he was on his own now.
"Have you seen, Wonnie?" Jake asks Jay during their shift. Jay shook his head "Not all day"
Jungwon was sulking at cafe not to far from Jay and Jake's work place. He was and still is devastated about Jake not having a crush, during the day he was indeed busying himself with student council affairs to keep him preoccupied but after school he couldn't focus on his homework and decided to go out.
It was definitely not in his plans to sit at a cafe and sulk but he couldn't help it. His head slowly slumped to his crossed arms on the table when he heard an unfamiliar familiar voice. "Hey... I thought it was you. Oh- are you okay?" The guy asks when Jungwon looks up at him. It was the guy Jungwon met before.
"Uhm... no" Jungwon sighs. The guy who Jungwon still didn't know the name sat in front of him. "Well... if it makes you feel better, my days not that good either. Do you want to talk about it?" Jungwon contemplated this, telling a stranger his feelings. A guy he'd probably never see again. A guy he didn't know the name of.
"What's your name? I'm Jungwon, nice to meet you" he says. "Jungwon, nice to meet you too. I'm Heeseung" the older says as they shake hands.
Peek-a-boo Heewon, I like this chapter. I made it a bit longer than usual but it's okay. The next chapter is going to be a bit sad but this is where the story will really begin. Also I'll try in squeeze in some Jaywon. I believe I said it would be in this chapter but I'm sorry. So next chapter will be a bit of Heewon, Heejake and Jaywon FOR SURE and some Hoonki. Ima figure out how to get the Jaywon in there, it'll be hard to make it make sense but yeah.
