⚠️ Longer Chapter⚠️

Jungwon took a deep breath "I just found out my crush doesn't like me. He doesn't like anyone actually" Jungwon pouted. "You're lucky try and have your crush liking someone else" Heeseung says. Jungwon guiltily looked at Heeseung. "Oh. That is worse. I'm sorry" Jungwon couldn't imagine if Jake liked anyone else, he'd be crushed.

"It's fine. It's not your fault, you don't have to apologize. I'm just gonna have try really hard to get his attention" Jungwon nods in thought, should he do the same? "I think you should do the same, it'll be easier since you literally have no competition" Heeseung says. "Are you reading my mind?"

Heeseung chuckles at the younger boy "No I'm not. I don't know if you've ever been told before but you're pretty readable, kiddo" Jungwon had never been told that before, in fact he's told the opposite all the time. "I've actually never been told that before, people tell me the opposite" Heeseung shrugs.

"Maybe I'm able to see what others can't" he winks at Jungwon "Do you want a drink?" Heeseung asks going into his wallet. "Yeah. I'll pay this time" Jungwon says standing up. "No it's okay" "It's the least I can do since you helped me a feel a bit better, even though I'm a stranger" Heeseung slowly nods.

"Why don't we become friends? So you don't feel burdened" Jungwon offers.  "Sounds nice"

Jungwon, with his new friend Heeseung's help, was more determined then ever to get Jake's attention today when he bumped into Niki. "Hey, Niki. Are you sitting with us today?" The younger shook his head "Are you sure? You're welcome to sit with us" Niki nods again. "I know. Thanks Jungwon, maybe tomorrow" he says before walking off.

Jungwon sat with the two best friends and sighs. "What's wrong, Wonnie?" Jake asks. "I'm worried about Niki" he explains. "What's wrong with him?" Jay says with a little more speed then usual, he was proud of himself.

"It's his so called friends. When I went to sit with them, they didn't even try to acknowledge him. I was the only one talking to him the whole time and they would only make snide remarks about him that he didn't seem to get. I believe he's the youngest and only sophomore on the varsity team. Could they be jealous of him?" Jungwon says.

"It's possible. Niki is very talented hence why he's on varsity and we can't forget his dancing" Jake says. "Well... w-what do we do?" Jay says, internally face palming himself. "I don't know, I don't want to accuse them wrongly and give him a hard time because of one interaction that I misinterpreted"

"Maybe, we just wait. Niki knows he has us, I'm sure he'll tell us if he's in trouble" Jake reassures and Jungwon nods while giving Niki's direction a quick glance. He shook his head before turning to Jake with a smile "Well, Yunnie, I want to ask you something" "Sure. What is it, Wonnie?"

"So, the school dance is nearing and the student council is starting a fundraiser and I was wondering if you could help me?" Jungwon gets out. Jay was hurt that Jungwon didn't even think to ask him, giving their relationship is pretty awkward, they were still friends weren't they?

"Sure, What kind of fundraiser?" Jake asks. "A food fundraiser" Jay snorts out a laugh, causing Jake to glare at him. He smiled apologetically "I'm sorry, Wonnie. I wouldn't be much help, I'm not good at cooking" Jake explains over Jay obnoxious snickering "But Seonggie does, he can help you!"

Jungwon was disappointed, it would be hard to get the whole council on board with changing the theme to suit Jake, it was perfect opportunity to spend alone time with Jake for a few months, a perfect opportunity lost. He turned to Jay trying not to look disappointed "Jay? You cook?" Jay shyly nods.

"Yes, very well" Jake praises earning a glare from Jay. "Perfect. Jay would you help us?" Jungwon still had to put his feelings aside and think about fundraiser as the VP of student council and the junior class representative "I will. Only if you need it. I don't mind. I can do it" Jay rambles. "Okay"
