Ghost's POV
—————————

Last night I had an... interesting moment with Olivia. I had noticed her leave the house quietly, so I had decided to follow her. After all, she did have a delicate wound that she got that day.

We talked for a while on that log, and it seems I'm actually her friend now. It's definitely new to me, most women I've ever interacted with never saw me as a person like Olivia does, it feels weird, but nice. She did end up getting tired from the cold and pain she was in, but she made a point not to complain.

Even if she did, I wouldn't have minded...

But besides that

Alejandro and Rudy were coming today, but before they arrived Price had us pack up and move to an actual base to work in. He said it was to have enough space for everyone on our team, but I think it was due to the shithole that was that Russian camp.

Olivia was energetic the whole ride, talking with Johnny and Gaz about random things, but she mainly talked about her parents and her brother's family. Supposedly she has a brother that's younger than her, who's married and has a kid together. She loves her niece to death.

About an hour after we got to the base, we heard sounds of a chopper landing nearby, indicating the Vaqueros' arrival. It was good seeing Alejandro and Rodolfo again.

Alejandro stepped out of the chopper first, grinning widely. "About time you cabrónes would need us again!" He greeted all of us with Rodolfo, then noticed Olivia.

He asked Rodolfo "¿Quién está esta chica?" To which Price quickly answered: "This is Lieutenant McCarthy, she has joined the Task Force for this mission. A special one she is, really"

Alejandro looked at me and Johnny before looking back at her, perplexed. He saluted her and winked, Rodolfo soon saluting as well. I think she took notice at the random winking, and quickly shot her hand out to shake it, looking a little too serious for our reunion.

After the men got off the chopper, they situated themselves in the base, then we all met with Price to discuss the next phase of the plan.

"Since we have a new lead on who could have started this operation, we can start working deeper into infiltrating the Russian base where the missiles are located and find out where they came from. The next phase will be a stealth mission. We'll be going to the base to gain intel and hopefully photo capture the missiles for McCarthy to analyze."

It was only the second phase of the mission and we're already going into the main target? This is new for Price, but, Olivia's discovery could have launched us further into our mission than I originally thought...

Price spoke again: "For this mission, I'm dividing this team into three groups. Gaz, you're with me. Alejandro and Rodolfo will be together, so that has Clover, Soap, and Ghost on our third team. Any questions regarding this?"

No one spoke up, in understanding, so he continued.

"Gaz and I will be on the front side of the base, we'll be going undercover as Russian officers to scan the base for any evidence or intel that could help us. Alejandro, you'll be guarding the side, keeping an eye on the other teams and alerting us if anything could compromise the mission. Ghost, your team will enter through the back of the base, gathering intel and evidence while guarding Clover in case she finds anything."

I saw Price hand an envelope to Olivia, to which she glanced at and put away.

Johnny decided to interject: "Should we name our respective teams? For easier communication."

Price nodded, allowing us to determine what our call name would be.

Price and Gaz stuck to the Bravo name, and Alejandro and Rudy used their trademark Vaqueros call.

Johnny decided to come up with a new name for our team. "How about we call ourselves UK." Olivia and I looked at each other, then back to Johnny, awaiting an explanation. "You know, we have England, Scotland, and Ireland, it's perfect!" He said, motioning to me, himself, then Olivia.

"Works for me, it's better than the nickname you gave me." Olivia said while chuckling.

After the meeting was done, we had the rest of the day off so Price could discuss the mission's progress with Laswell, hoping she had more information on anything we could get.

I walked to the lounge with Johnny and we noticed Olivia at a table with her head buried in her laptop. We walked over to see what the hell she was doing.

I stood behind her and glanced over the screen, my head just above hers. "What are you doing, Lieutenant?" I asked.

She jumped back, hitting my chin in the process, and I quickly backed away. Johnny tried to hold in a laugh but couldn't, I gave him a death glare in response.

"Well, I'm looking deeper into this email trying to figure out whoever the hell this Sheepdog is... but I can't seem to find anything!!" She said, exasperated, rubbing her head.

Johnny then came over and closed her laptop, smiling at her. "Come on, lass, it's our time off, how about you do something that isn't work related?"

She stared at him blankly. "I have done nothing but sleep and be lazy for the past two days, I feel bad not doing anything."

Please, I practically watched her like a hawk these past few days, she's been far from lazy.

I was about to speak up but Johnny got to it first "That's a load o' keech, you have worked so hard even when you are injured, you need a break! I mean look at you, lass, ye'r lookin lik' a horse that died a week ago."

Oh she did NOT like that. She glared at him for a solid 10 seconds before sighing and plopping her head on the hard table.

"You're right, táim cosúil le cac... (I look like shit...)"

Johnny then sat across from her and patted her head while I sat next to her. The three of us then decided to turn on the television in the room and watch a cheesy movie that Johnny recommended. Something about a girl getting married and inviting three men who might be her father to her wedding against her mother's knowledge? I don't know how that would be entertaining.

Olivia loved it though, apparently it's one of her favorite movies. She would sing the songs obnoxiously with Johnny, trying to imitate the dancing on the screen too much.

That was the one part that was really entertaining to me.  Something about Johnny always seems to get people to have a good time, while also getting serious when it needs to be.

I mean, half an hour before, Olivia had her head on the table in exhaustion and here she is dancing like a maniac to ABBA music. They're crazy.

It's safe to say that I would consider the both of them my good friends...
