Thranduil leaned down and pressed a soft kiss against your lips. One of his slender hands rested gently on your swollen stomach as he kissed you. He slowly pulled away.

"How do you feel my love?" He asked gently. You smiled and placed your hand atop his. "I feel great." You whispered. He smiled and kissed your head. "Make sure you rest. You know the baby is coming soon." He whispered, using his free hand to make sure you were properly tucked under the blanket, which your grandmother had knitted many many years ago, as you laid on the bed. You were propped up by a few pillows. Before your Thranduil came in, you had been reading a book. It was dark out, the stars shining and you could hear the night animals making their noises. It was all rather peaceful. You were already in a night gown; cream colored and made of cotton with some lace. It was long sleeved and the necklines was a squared one. Thranduil obvioudly hadn't changed yet. But seconds later, your first born son came running into the room. He jumped on the bed and hugged you. You knew Thranduil was a little strict when it came to your son jumping on the bed like that, but you didn't mind. You hugged the little blond bond boy and kissed his head. "To what do I owe this pleasure my love?" You asked softly. Legolas grinned. "Mother looked what I found when I was exploring!" He exclaimed. He held up a tiny hand and opened his fist to reveal a shiny silver stone, flecked with gold. There were a few runes in it, ones in ancient elvish. You smiled. "It's beautiful love." You whispered and kissed his head again. He smiled. "It's for you mother!" He said and pressed it in your hand. You smiled tiredly. "Thank you dear." You said and stroked his hair and then cheek. Thranduil came over and picked up his son. "Time for you to go to bed." He said. Legolas rubbed his eyes and nodded.

Once he carried him away, you relaxed back and with one hand rubbed your heavily swollen stomach. In the other you looked at the stone your son found. You wondered what the runes meant. You set it down on the nightstand with a small smile. You closed your eyes and drifted off to sleep.

You woke up in the middle of the night, the moon light was streaming through the windows and a light summer breeze drifted trough the window. Your rubbed your eyes groggily. You suddenly felt as if your bottom was resting in a wet puddle. You reached a sleepy hand down and your dress was soaked...what did this mean...then you suddenly realized what it was. Your water broke! The baby was coming!

"Thranduil!" You whispered frantically. He blinked awake. "Yes dear?" He said groggily..you loved his voice like that but you couldn't think about that right now. Before you could speak, he asked "Darling why is the bed soaked?" He asked. "My water broke!" You said quickly. He sat up swiftly. He rushed around and got things like towels and the baby blanket you would wrap the child in. He also grabbed a few other things, then called for the midwife. The contractions began and they were rather painful. Thranduil helped place towels under you and made sure you were comfortable. The midwife soon came; she brought a few things of her own. He curtsied to Thranduil and then you , "Your majesties." She said to him and you. He nodded his head and gripped your now slightly sweaty hand.

Many hours later the contractions were very close together and it was almost time. The baby was very close. You were exhausted and sweaty. "It's time." The midwife said. She helped Thranduil move you into position. He held your hand. "Alright, you will have to push." You have a slight nod and closed your eyes. You gritted your teeth and pushed. Nothing. You groaned in pain. You were panting. Thranduil wiped swear off your head with w cool wash cloth with his free hand. You gathered your strength and pushed again. You took deep breaths before you pushed one last time, groaning loudly in pain. But you felt it come out, you felt your body give birth to a baby who was screaming and crying as it came to the world.

You finally felt your body relax onto the sweat covered sheets as you breathed heavily. You closed your eyes and listened to the cries of your baby. The midwife cleaned the tiny girl that you had birthed. She was given to Thranduil who kissed her tiny head. He leaned over to you and kissed your head too. "It's a girl he whispered." Your lips curled into a smile and you opened your eyes. She had stopped crying and Thranduil set her into your arms. You were so happy. "Finwen." You whispered. He smiled. "Is that what you want for a name my love?" He asked and you nodded. He smiled. The midwife cleans up and said congratulations. You smiled at loving husband. "I love you my angel." He whispered. You smiled. "I love you too my king." You whispered back as you cradled your beautiful daughter
