You were running. Why? Because he told you to run. He said to run back to the safe house and not come out until he came. And that's exactly what you did because you trusted him. Well, most of the time, there were some times you didn't.

You didn't stop running until you reached the fairly remote cabin in the woods. Your calves burned and you shoved the door open, quickly shutting it behind you and locking it. Before you could sit down, you made sure every window was secure. Only then could you take a breather and sit on the couch in the living room. The place was well kept and stocked with food, blankets, flashlights, ext.

Not knowing when he'd come and tell you it's safe, you decided to clean yourself up. You looked awful; ripped clothes, scratches and bruises on your body. You got the first aid kit and some clothes from the closet. In the silence, you cleaned your self up and disposed of the torn clothing.

As the sky darkened, the cabin became cold, but in fear of being found, you didn't light a fire. You wrapped yourself in blankets and warm clothes and curled up in the bedroom.

Days passed and Ward didn't come. It worried you a little, but you knew how good he was and did not doubt his skills.

Two weeks had gone by and no sigh of any human life. You hadn't gone outside and as the days went by it got colder and food supplies were slowly dwindling. After doing a little work out including yoga, stretching and things you could do in the cabin, you wrapped yourself in a blanket and sat on the bed again. You shivered.

A month passed. Nobody. Nothing. Just woods and animals. No humans and no Ward. You had a feeling he forgot. You estimated you had enough food to last another five months but it was the cold that worried you. You would defiantly light a fire if it wasn't so risky.

It was probably around 9:00 pm now. You couldn't seem to sleep again. But you were exhausted. This would be the fourth night in a row with no sleep. Forcing your mind to go under, you drifted off.

You felt unusually warm when you woke up. Blinking yourself awake, you smelled burning wood. Was there a forest fire? There couldn't be. There was so much snow outside wouldn't that just put out the fire? You yawned and sat up, stretching. Slowly, you stood up and kept the blanket around you. As you slowly moved to the living room, you heard movement and the crackling of a fire. You tensed and backed up, reached for the knife that was under the pillow. You grabbed it as you heard footsteps of a man coming the direction of the bedroom. You swallowed and readied to pounce.

"There's no need for that." Said a familiar voice. There in the doorway was Ward. You dropped the knife and ran to him, hugging him tightly. After more than a month of not seeing him or any human, it was a massive relief.

"Oh my gosh, I thought no one would come." You breathed. He chuckled. "It just took me some time to get off the radar of everyone." He said, hugging you a back, not as tightly. "Now let's get you out of here." He said, pulling you to the living room. "It's going to be a bit of a hike, but we'll get you back to civilization."
