[ So for this imagine, it could be Loki or Tom. I'm just going to use Loki, but yeah ]

Six months after Sebby was born, he asked for a divorce. Two months after Sebby was born Loki had been acting strange. He started to say 'I love you less'. He came home late at night, and sometimes you waited for him but he wouldn't acknowledge you. He went upstairs, took a shower and went to bed. When you laid beside him, he stayed away from you; back to you and on the other side of the bed. Once you placed a hand on his shoulder and whispered that you loved him....he simply grunted and shrugged your hand away. And now he wanted a divorce and he made it quite clear he didn't want to care for Sebby. He wanted to start anew and taking care of a child would not help. And all this left you wondering what had you done wrong?

When the papers were all sighed and it was official, Loki came to your house one last time to pick up his things and move out. He had a new car out side and a pretty young woman waiting for him. When he got all his things, he nodded to you and ignored Sebby who was trying to get his father to play with him. Loki just walked out to the new car, put all his boxes and things in the truck. When he was done he walked into the driver's side of the car and sat down, then leaned over and kissed the other woman passionately. This, hurt you a lot. You slowly closed the front door and sank down to the ground crying.

Six months later~ Things were okay for you and Sebby. Because you couldn't always be home, you adopted a German Shepard puppy named Lucy and a kitten named Cotten. The kitten had actually found itself a home in the basement and you didn't have the heart to abandon it and make it leave, especially now that it's winter.

But things started to get financially harder. In between house and car and daycare and pet expenses, it was harder. You shopped less for yourself, only bought what was needed. You also took on a second job. And it was just getting harder. Paying for everything...you considered moving into an apartment, but that wasn't such a good idea. You would just stay here.

Most nights you cried yourself to sleep. Lucy would come and comfort you by curling up next to you...But those tears reminded yourself too much of the time when Loki would comfort you. Your mind wanders to Loki. What had you done wrong? Why did he not love you anymore? Were you not pretty enough? Not kind enough to him? Were you not the loving wife you thought you were? In attempt not to dwell on that, you focused on staying afloat in this world, however hard that was becoming.

Soon, it was announced over Loki's Facebook and Instagram, that he was engaged to that woman he was kissing in the car. It stung, but he said he wanted to move on...that night you cried more than usually. Sebby was crying too, but for a different reason. He had a cold. You were tending to him, trying not to cry.

Three months later~It seemed like two jobs wasn't enough. Sebby was 1 year and half old and was starting to talk and tried to crawl. It was amazing to watch, but you couldn't help but wish Loki was here to cherish it with you. But however much you tried, you couldn't spend the amount of time you wanted with your son. Work and trying to keep yourself together was taking a lot.

But finally, you worked up the courage to send a letter to Loki asking for child support, you could not do this on your own. But after a month of waiting on a reply, you gave up and didn't try to ask again. Of course he wouldn't help! It would mean going back on his old life, the one he wanted to leave behind. He was getting married in 5 months. He probably didn't read the letter, he probably threw it out the moment he saw it was from you.

Your luck of staying afloat, however, was running out. You were let out of work early and your next job didn't start for another 2 hours. Deciding to take Lucy for a walk, you headed out. Cotten was asleep somewhere and hadn't came down to say hello. After changing you headed out. Lucy did not want to walk, however. She wanted to run. So you ran with her.

As you crossed the street, you tried not to pay attention to the fact Loki was running with his fiancé ahead of you. But because you tried not to focus on them, you didn't notice the car coming at you.

Without warning, you felt it hit you and then everything went black.

|Loki's POV|

Unfortunately, I saw { y/n } taking her dog for a run the same time Ashly and I were taking ours. Seeing [ y/n ]......That was like a look at the past that I didn't want to see. She didn't look any different thought, except maybe for the long hair, which defiantly needed a trim. Little did I know, she couldn't afford it. She also seemed to have lost a lot of weight, but that was not my concern.

As Ashly and I were crossing the street to continue our run, I heard her dog barking and a few people shouting. I kept running but Ashly stopped. I came to a halt and turned to her.

"Ashly darling..." I trailed off as I saw [ y/n ] laying in the street. It was clear she had been hit by a car. Her dog wouldn't let anybody get close, but she needed help. Unless she was dead already. My legs started to carry me to her. I knew Ashly trailed behind. I walked up to [ y/n's ] limp body. Blood trickled from her mouth. The nearest hospital was a few blocks away and an ambulance hadn't come yet. I scooped her up. The dog barked at me.

"Loki...baby what are you doing?" Ashly asked. I didn't reply, I started to head to hospital. I moved quickly. Ashly called the hospital and that dog follower and barked the entire time.

I hoped she was alive. I hoped she hadn't died in my arms it on the pavement. The blood was a continuing trickle from her mouth. It was not stopping. Her eyes were only half open. And worst of all she felt cold.

When we arrived at the ER, thankfully they took her in immediately. I wasn't allowed to follow in though. I waited with Ashly and the dog, whose name was Lucy. And Lucy did not like me or Ashly. I also hoped Sebby was alright. I had called [ y/n's ] mother who had picked him up.

After hours of waiting alone, Ashly had gone home and taken Lucy back to [ y/n's ] house, a doctor came out. I stood up. He walked up to me.

"Sir, I'm sorry to report that [ y/n y/l/n ] may not make it through the night." He said. I felt tears well. This was all my fault. She was probably going to die. Why did I leave in the first place? Why did I ignore her? Why?

"C-can I see her?" I whispered. He nodded. "For a little bit." And then he showed me to her room. She looked awful. Deathly pale. Dark circles under her eyes.

"Oh my [ y/n ]..." I walked over and sat beside the bed on the stool. Her eyes opened slightly. She didn't look at me, and she had started to cry.

"What do you want..." She choked out. I reached for her hand and gripped it. She didn't squeeze back, but I didn't let go. I was crying and so was she.

"Because I need to say I'm sorry. I'm sorry I wanted to leave. I'm sorry I did. I'm sorry I treated you the way I did. I don't even know why I wanted to leave. I had all I ever wanted and I threw it away. I realize who awful and wrong I was. You loved me no matter what, I just brushed it off. Is there any way you could forgive me?" She finally looked at me and squeezed my hand weakly. "I understand if you don't, I just...I don't know how I'm going to live with myself if you died and I never told you how sorry I am."

"Loki...I-I forgive you." She whispered, her eyes closing again. Her grip loosened a little. "[ y/n ]?!?!" I said frantically. I was crying harder now.

"Shh..." She whispered. "Let me rest, but please don't leave." I nodded. "I won't. Not this time."

~6 months later~

By some miracle, she made it through the night. And the next day and the day after that. I had called off the wedding with Ashly. It hurt her, but I could not leave [ y/n ]

And today, was our [ second ] wedding day. She looked just as beautiful as she did when I first married her. This time, I would not leave. Not ever.

So finally, when we said out vows and sealed it with that passionate kiss, I felt whole again. This woman was my one true other half.
