Chapter 13: our own pace

He opened his eyes to a dark place with a fire ring surrounding him, tied to a chair unable to move. "Well, well, well look who finally woke up!" He looked up and saw Lucy, holding her pink tail in the shape of a pitchfork. Dice was confused and his vision was horrible. "Wha.." before he could say anything Lucy grabbed his chin."So you rejected my little Lucifer's proposal?" She smiled. "We'll It's just I'm not Ready for all of-" She cut him off, "tsk tsk tsk oh Kingsley you could have had it all, money, A successful business, a loving relationship, a family, and A nice throne next to the king of hell himself." She showed the desires in the palm of her hand before blowing the smoke in dices face.

"What are you tryna say?" He asked. "I'm trying to make a deal with you, you like doing things like that right?" She showed her toothy mouth. "What's the catch?" He looked her in her eyes. "Listen you go back to the casino, marry my son, make an heir to the casino, and live happily ever after." "And if I don't?" He asked. She looked around before replying "Well then I guess ill have to get rid of you and your smartass mouth." She caressed his chin. Dice sighed and looked up at her, his eyes slowly turning emerald green. "Well well let's see about that," he smirked. Meanwhile, henchmen was walking with Cagney in the dark woods.

"So uhh did you see where your brother went?" He looked down at the little flower. "no all I saw was- Wait look!" he looked down and saw a handkerchief. He picked it up, "This is just a handkerchief how's this going to help us find him?" henchmen examined it. "No no look that's my brothers, Kingsley always carries a handkerchief with his initials in the corner embroidered with purple." He pointed to the corner that read " k.d" "Wow you have a huge vocabulary for a little kid." Henchmen said shocked. "learned for my brother!" he smiled. Henchmen looked where they found the handkerchief and saw there was a trail of ashes. 

He picked them up and sniffed them. "This was done by hell fire!" he looked shocked. "What's that?" Cagney looked up at him. "No time to explain we have to go quickly!" He picked up Cagney and flew to the casino. They arrived and it was dead silent since they had closed after the whole proposal failure. He opened the giant doors to see the staff at the bar laughing and talking "You guys are still here?" They all turned around "Yea we can't just leave the boss here in this condition and whos the kid?"  Wheezy asked. "No time to answer." He said rushing down the hall and out to devils tower where he was sleeping. "BOSS!" He shouted causing devil to jump out of his bed. 

"What? What's wrong. a break-in?" He shouted. "No sir your mother has taken dice." Devil stopped in his tracks, his eyes glowing red. "She's taken him where?" He asked grabbing his pitchfork. "didn't get a chance to look I came to find you as soon as possible." He said. "Good idea also whose child is that?" He asked. "Cagney dices little brother he helped me find clues." He explained and Cagney waved his leaf.  Devil stared at him for a few seconds to comprehend how they don't look alike but he stopped and said "okay no time to waste we need to get dice right now." "So what happened, aren't you gonna kill me as you said?" Dice laughed while blood tricked down his nose.

"I was going to but now that I think about it I may let you go because my sons not looking for you so that means he wasn't really interested so-" She was cut off by a deep echoing voice. "MOTHER WHAT THE HELL IS WRONG WITH YOU!?" She looked around and saw no one. Then henchmen jumped on her back. "Unhand me you fat demon!" She looked up and saw devil looking down on her. "Sorry, miss lucy but bosses orders." He said tieing her up. "Lucifer how dare you do this to your mother!" She kicked. "How dare you kidnap someone I care about all because you wanted me to do things I didn't want to!" He turned around seeing dice in the chair. Decil blew out the ring of fire and Cagney untied dice.

"You don't understand I'm the only one thinking about the future of the casino!" She shouted. "me and dice were fine before you tried to rush us into doing things we didn't want to!"  He took dices hands and looked him in the eyes. "Dice I'm extremely sorry I made you feel so overwhelmed I just wanted to listen to my mother, my intent was to never make you feel that way."  Dice looked up at devil and pulled him into a kiss, placing his lips on top of his own. "Thats alright dev lets just try to take things at our own pace alright?" He caressed his cheek. Devil nodded his head, "Now what should we do with my mom?" Dice whispered into devils ear. "Really that's too kind dice really?"

"yes." He nodded and devil groaned. "Fine, mom we are going to let you go as long as you promise to learn boundaries." Lucy nodded her head with her fingers crossed behind her back and henchmen untied her. She hugged dice and devil then poofed leaving a pink cloud of smoke. Devil then placed his hands on dices hips, dice facing him "So are you coming back to the casino?" devil asked. "Of course but first we gotta take this little guy home." He patted Cagney's head. "Alright." devil poofed them all back to the woods. "You never told me you had a brother." He said as they began to walk. "I didn't even know, I just met him a few days ago but he's the best little brother a guy can ask for." He said smiling at Cagney.

"You never told me you have a boyfriend!" Cagney giggled. "Shh don't tell ma though got it?" He put his finger to Cagney's face. "Hehe okay!" Cagney laughed.
