That night, Rani and Kion met at the border. "So, what do you want?" Rani asked. "I want to spend time with you," Kion replied.
"But, why?" Rani asked. Kion shrugged. Rani smiled, "I guess it would be fun to break the rules." "Alright, I'll come over to you," Kion stepped over the border.
"Ok, let's play a game," Rani said. "Like what?" Kion asked. "Are you good at climbing trees?" Rani asked. "Pfft heck no," Kion replied.
"Alright, I'm teaching you how to climb a tree, c'mon!" Rani shouted. "Wait what!"
"Don't be a pussy cat," Rani chuckled. Kion sighed and followed her.
"Oh jeez," Kion looked up at the huge tree. "C'mon!" Rani started climbing up with ease. Kion stared at her in disbelief.
"C'mon!" Rani chuckled. Kion walked up to the tree. He jumped up and extended his claws to the tree. He tried to climb up, but his claws were stuck.
"Uh Rani!" Kion asked, panicked. Rani looked down, "What?" "I'm stuck!" Kion shouted. Rani burst into to laughter and climbed down to Kion.
Kion frowned, "This isn't fair, you've climbed trees your whole life." Rani shrugged. She grabbed Kion's paw, and pulled out his claws. Rani then went to Kion's other front paw, and took his claws out of the tree.
Rani climbed down further to Kion's back paws. She retracted Kion's claws. "Ok, one more," Rani got Kion's claws out of the tree.
"Woah!" Kion fell down onto his back. "Ow, my head," Kion rubbed his head. Rani chuckled and climbed down.
Kion held onto his head. "Hey you ok?" Rani asked. "No," Kion groaned. Rani looked around. She grabbed a leaf, and dipped it in a puddle. Then she put it on Kion's head.
"That should help," Rani smiled. "Thanks," Kion replied.
After a while, Kion's head felt better.
It was really late. Rani yawned. "I'm tired." "Me too, let's go to sleep," Kion replied. Rani nodded. She and Kion layed down. Rani cuddled up close to him.
Rani couldn't believe she was sleeping with a Pridelander, but he made her feel happy, and safe. They went to sleep.
