Chapter 17: Let It Slip

Rani gasped in horror. Her parents were standing in front of her.

Sahasi growled at Rani, "How could you leave!" Ananda looked behind Rani, "And you kept the cubs! How could you like them! Their half-prides!"

Kion jumped in front of Rani, "Don't talk to her like that!" He growled. "She's OUR daughter; we can do want!" Sahasi shouted. Simba and Nala stepped forward.

"We are also her parents now too," Nala replied. "You will never be her mother," Ananda snarled. "At least I'll let her make her own decisions!" Nala replied.

"We were doing what's best," Ananda scoffed. "Yeah! Well did you ever think about my feelings!" Rani shouted. She stepped forward.

"You don't get to decide what happens in your life! We are your parents! We know what's best for you!" Sahasi growled.

"No, Kion knows what's best for me. He actually takes an interest in my life. He loves me. You only care about yourselves. I don't like Moro! I've never liked him. My heart belongs to Kion, and there is nothing you can do about it!" Rani shouted.

Sahasi was about to reply, but Simba stepped forward.

"You heard her, she doesn't want you in her life. She wants to make her own decisions. And as far as I'm concerned, you're on my territory," Simba said sternly. Sahasi and Ananda growled. They walked away.

"Rani, I never knew your parents were that bad," Kion said. "It's ok, because I have a new family now," Rani smiled. Nala, Simba, and Kiara pulled her into a hug.

"Ow," Rani groaned. "Rani what's wrong?" Nala asked worried. "You just hugged me to tight, the cubs got uncomfortable," Rani explained. "Wait, cubs?" Simba asked. Kion and Rani looked at each other.

"Oops," Rani chuckled. "You're pregnant again!" Kiara shouted. Rani nodded with a smile. "Ahhh!" Kiara ran up to hug her, but remembered, so she nuzzled Rani instead.

"Why didn't you tell us to begin with?" Nala asked. "Well, we just found out today. Plus I knew that you and Kiara would go cub crazy if you found out," Kion explained.

"And you were correct!" Kiara squeaked jumping around. "See! I told you!" Kion rolled his eye's. "Hey loosen up, it's fine," Rani chuckled. Kion smiled.

"This is so exciting! Do you know how many cubs you're having!" Kiara squealed. "We are having twins," Rani replied. Kiara's eyes went wide, "AHHH!" She smiled and hopped around.

"You had to let it slip," Kion chuckled. Rani giggled. "I'm happy for you," Simba smiled.

"I'm going to be a big brother?" Raja asked. "I thought you were asleep?" Rani said. "We woke up to screaming," Raja replied. Sawa yawned next to him.

"Yes Raja, you're going to be a big brother, and Sawa is going to be a big sister," Kion smiled. "

"But I don't want another sibling! Raja is already ruffling my fur," Sawa groaned. "You don't get a say in that," Rani chuckled. Sawa sighed.

"You'll like your new siblings, just wait and see," Kion said nuzzling her.
