Chapter 5: A Big Mistake

Rani and Kion woke up the next morning. "Morning Rani," Kion yawned. "Morning Kion," Rani smiled.

"We better get back before out parents find out we're missing," Kion said. Rani nodded. "Meet here again tonight?" Kion asked. "Sure," Rani smiled.

Kion walked to the Pridelands, Rani walked to the Tree Of Life.

Rani walked through the mountain pass, and was smothered by her parents. "Rani where were you!" Ananda asked. "Patroling," Rani replied.

"Any dangers?" Sahasi asked. Rani shook her head. She yawned. "Get some sleep," Ananda said. Rani walked away, but felt something in her stomach. Rani groaned.

Sahasi turned around, "Rani?" Her parents ran to her. "Whats wrong Rani?" Ananda asked. "My stomach," Rani groaned.

"Here, lean on me," Ananda said. Rani leaned on Ananda and they walked to the tree.

Ananda set Rani on the rock. "Your stomach right?" Rani nodded. Ananda felt her stomach.

"Is she ok?" Sahasi asked. "Sahasi, don't panic," Ananda said, "Rani, your pregnant." Rani's eye's widened in horror.

Rani only meant for Kion to be a friend, but now he was the father to her cubs.

"WHAT!" Sahasi growled, "Who did this to you Rani!" Rani looked away. If her parents found out that their worst enemies son got her pregnant, there would be a war right that second.

"Tell me!" Sahasi roared. Ananda stopped him, "Calm down Sahasi." Sahasi growled but nodded.

"Rani, who's the father?" Ananda asked calmly. Rani looked away. "Why can't you tell us?" Ananda asked. "It doesn't matter," Rani sighed.

"Yes it does, we want to meet your mate," Ananda replied. Rani jumped up, "HE ISN'T MY MATE! THIS WAS AN ACCIDENT!" Rani screamed.

"What!" Sahasi growled. Rani sat down, "I didn't mean to get pregnant. I just wanted wanted be friends." "But why can't you tell us who it is?" Ananda asked.

"I can't ok! I can't," Rani walked out. "We aren't telling anyone about this Sahasi. She is to young to be pregnant," Ananda said. Sahasi nodded.

"Kion! Where have you been!" Simba growled. "Patroling," Kion replied. "Zuri and Tiifu were on patrol last night," Simba growled.

"Uh hunting," Kion started to panic. "Where's the food?" Simba asked. "I ate it," Kion quickly replied.

"Whatever," Simba rolled his eye's. Kion walked inside Priderock.

That night, Kion walked to where he and Rani were supposed to meet.

Rani came into view. "Hi Rani," Kion smiled. "Kion, we need to talk," Rani replied. Kion was confused, but sat down.

"Im pregnant with your cubs," Rani sighed. Kion jumped up with happiness, "This is amazing! I can't believe it!" Kion smiled.

"Kion-" Kion interrupted Rani, '?"Should I move to the Tree Of Life? Or you move move the Pridelands?"

"Kion stop," Rani said. Kion sat down. "Kion, I'm raising these cubs, alone," Rani looked up at him.

"What!" Kion shouted. "They aren't going to know you're their father. I don't want everyone knowing they are half-prides," Rani sighed.

Kion tried to speak, but Rani stopped him, "No Kion. You can't change my mind. And, we can't see each other anymore. I'm sorry," Rani walked away.

Kion stood there, but sighed. His cubs would never know who he was. Kion walked back to Priderock.
