Kion woke up in the middle of the night, in Nala's arms. Kion quietly got out of her grasp and walked out to the border.
He sat there, hoping Rani would show up, and she did.
"Rani!" Kion smiled. Rani just sighed. "Where are Raja and Sawa?" Kion asked. "Nirmala's taking care of them," Rani replied.
"Rani, I really miss you. Why can't I join your pride?" Kion asked. "Because, my pride hates yours. You'd be killed if you came to my pride," Rani explained.
"If you don't want to see me, then why did you come here?" Kion growled. He started to get angry.
"Kion, I do love you, but our love can't happen. We are from different prides. You seem to keep forgetting that," Rani replied.
"Wait, you love me?" Kion asked. "Yes. But like I said. We can't be together," Rani sighed.
Kion looked away from Rani. Rani put her paw under his chin, and made him look her in the eyes. Rani kissed him. "Bye Kion," Rani sighed. Kion tried to hold in his tears, "Bye Rani."
Kion and Rani walked away. They had seen each other, for the last time.
