Valentine's day special

*Happy early Valentine's Day in advance! As my update day is on Saturday this special goes on the same day. I know that you must all be annoyed that there's next to no action between Nick and Ezra.

Of course, it's still early in the novel but if that is the case I hope this special will composite for it. Especially knowing that it might take a while before they get up there. I hope you don't mind knowing more about Ezra's personality before it happens in the real novel's storyline. That's all from me!-Lauren*

Nick's pov

It's Valentine's Day and everyone knows what it means. As usual, lovers gift each other gifts and spend the day together. The classic. It'll always be a tradition but this year it will slightly different. Tradition says it's only a girl and a boy together but that's not the case for me.

I like traditions as it's always been cool and fun. It's romantic. I'm not the most romantic guy out there but I do know how to spoil my special someone even if said person doesn't particularly like it.

Last year, I didn't get to spend Valentine's Day properly but this year I will. I have my own to spoil nowadays contrary to back then.

My special person is particular through. I don't think they share my way of seeing this, especially when it comes to traditions. Today I'll make sure it goes my way at least. They can't deny the inevitable.

I already have a particular plan for today. I only need to tell them now that's all.

"Baby?"

"Huh? Oh yeah, what is it?"

"It's Valentine's Day today."

"I know that you berk" I smile despite the insult. Guess I'm immune to it nowadays.

"Oh no don't tell me you planned something."

"Yep, I did."

"Oh no you planned what? Please don't tell it's cheesy."

"Ah, about that.."

"It's cheesy it is." He concludes.

"Hey! Let me talk!"

"Go on"

"I want us to go on a date."

"Oh? So direct? How unusual of you. You couldn't avoid the traditional being too proper right? No surprise though, that's bright at the very least."

"What good could it do if didn't tell you? You always think my ideas are cringe anyways."

"They are just old fashioned that's all. It isn't fun. Most of them are rubbish."

"But..going on a date is the best thing about dating."

"Are you only dating me to go on dates?"

"Huh? Of course not!" I laugh and he does too.

"If you really don't want to go on a date, what do you want to do?"

"Ah, let's just do as usual."

"Now that's boring."

"Boring? Bloody hell. You really want me to agree to this date of yours right?"

"In short yes."

"Then fine if it makes you happy."

"But does it make you happy?"

"As long as it's fun that's what matters. Anyways you know what I like."

"Yeah, I do. So no cheesy things or things too classic?"

"Yeah, I don't want to be those stereotypical couples daft as a bush." His British slang and accent still going strong it seems like.
