7- A plan that went too far

Nick's pov

After the discussion with my brother, I almost forgot that I had a hangout session with the guys. So even if I don't want to go, I leave quickly with my car.

I arrive shortly after and I knock on the beautiful house of the Collymores, Dominic's house. In an instant, the guys open the door.

"Nick! Where were you? We've been waiting for you!" Leo that opened the door says first.

"Yeah, what took you so long? You didn't answer our texts for like half an hour!" Of course, Aaron finds a way to dramatize everything.

"Ah..it's nothing. I had to run an errand."

"What kind of errand? Who does that those days?" I laugh awkwardly.

"Yeah..enough about it. What matters is that I'm here right?" They all turn to each other and then back at me.

"Yeah come in."

It seems like they were in Dominic's room before I arrived. It's been ages since I last went into Dom's room.

I came up to the front of his door many times but never to hang out like this and not with all the guys. Geez, why does this feel like a hangout girls do between each other?

They all sit down, I choose to sit on Dom's bed.

"So you guys weren't drinking?" Why does the atmosphere feel off?

"Nah, we decided not to. There's school tomorrow and we have a game so... "

"Hah, you dare talk like that as if you know when to stop drinking?" Dom laughs and Leo glares at him. It's rare to hear Dom laugh. I wonder what is making him laugh today?

"So..Nick..anything new?" Why is Myung asking me of all people this kind of question?

"No? Why?"

"It's nothing, we just noticed that lately, you've been staring out a lot."

"And you arrived late too, to our hangout!" Aaron adds.

"Ah sorry about that. I'll try to do better."

"You better."

''So what did you all talk about before I arrived?''

''We were talking about you!''

''Oh, really how so?'' Of course they do they don't have anything better to do.

''We walking about you and Taylor.''

''Yeah, she likes you, bro! And she's cute too!''

''Who are you to say that? Don't you have a girlfriend?'' I state.

''Yo, I'm allowed to call other girls cute.''

''I doubt Sydney would like hearing that.''

''I agree on that too,'' Dominic says and all the others end up agreeing.

''Well, she's not here so?'' Aaron says trying to prove a point.

''Sure you're lucky she isn't. Girls are ready to throw a fit if they hear you talk about a girl.''

''Yeah, and I admit it's kinda annoying.'' Dominic states.

''Does Maryka get jealous over that?'' Myung asks curious.
