It had been two weeks since I got beaten up at school. I hadn't been since that day as mum wanted me to stay home for a while. She took time off work to look after me and we went away for the weekend just me and her to my auntys house back in Grimsby.
It was so nice to be back home and I realised how much I missed it here. We spent time with my family and all they could talk about was my mum and David's wedding. "Can we just have a weekend without hearing David's name please mum? I just want it to be me and you" my eyes filled up with tears.
"Of course darling I'm sorry" she hugged me and I apologised for lashing out.
Me and my mum had such a lovely weekend back in Grimsby, but Monday soon came and David was here to pick us up.
"How are my two favourite girls" he asked kissing my mum on the cheek.
"We're fine we had such a lovely time" my mum said excitedly.
I didn't talk for the whole journey home which was about 2 hours and 45 minutes.
The weekend was now over and I had to get back to my horrible routine I had before. Go to school, get beat up, come home, get beat up and sexually abused. I hated my life and what it had become.
It was Tuesday and I had no choice but to go back to school. I walked into the courtyard towards my friends and the girls who attacked me started pointing and laughing and soon enough, half the school were laughing at me as well.
"I guess they told everyone then". I said to my friend Tor bowing my head in shame.
"I'm sorry Laura, but everyone has seen it"
"What do you mean SEEN it?" I gasped.
Tor pulled out her phone and showed me the email. It was a video of me getting attacked. The girls recorded it and sent to the whole school. I ran off to the toilet. On my way I accidentally bumped into a teacher and spilled coffee down his clean white shirt.
"Are you blind?! No running in the halls you stup-" he looked up and saw my eyes filled with tears, stopping him mid sentence.
"What's happened is everything okay? I didn't mean to shout. Come with me I will get you cleaned up". He put his arm on my shoulder and took me to a quiet empty computer room and handed me some tissues.
"Thank you". I sniffled. He asked me why I was so upset, I logged into the computer and showed him the video. He was incredibly shocked and also seemed angry.
He started typing on the computer and then stormed out, leaving me alone and confused. I didn't move from the room and about 20 minutes later he came back with the principal and showed her the video.
They spoke together away from me and then asked me to name the girls who attacked me. I told them all the names I knew and the principal said she would do her best to resolve this issue.
