"Hey, you ready?" I was not! But did that matter? Did she even remotely care?

No.

If she did, she wouldn't have made me do this.

I still couldn't remember how I ended up in this mess. It was only a few days back that I was successfully rejecting Prez and now I was sitting in a changing room getting ready to be the Siren?

There was definitely something wrong with me.

"I'm coming in." Sam knocked twice and slowly opened the door to take a look inside. Her head peaked through and she saw me sitting in front of the mirror motionless.

I wore the same clothes that I had been wearing when she had left a couple of minutes ago. She frowned as she took notice of it and I felt my heart pull.

That frown made me think that I had somehow disappointed her. And that didn't sit right with me. I wanted to erase that look from her face.

"Why haven't you changed yet, doll? It's almost time! The fest begins in about half an hour. Hurry up." Her little nickname pulled at a completely different string inside my heart. She walked closer to me and placed both her hands on my shoulders from behind.

"I don't think I'm the one for this Sam. Lana said that I'll be the worst Siren in our school's history. She also said that I'd look like a clown in that dress. I don't want to disgrace our class with the 'awkward me' being the Siren." I lowered my gaze and went back to rolling a loose thread from my sweater between my fingers.

"You know that she's just bitching about not getting to be the Siren this year right? Don't take it to heart, honey. You already look gorgeous and you'll look even more gorgeous in that dress. Don't be so down. Alright now hurry up, we don't have much time doll. Hurry up and strip." She looked so calm and composed which gave me a surge of confidence.

Well maybe she was right. After all Lana had always bullied me. Ever since middle school she had been bullying me for no reason.

You could even call us enemies if you took into account all those times that she had bullied me, called me names and destroyed my things. Of course there would be no evidence against her as she was the daughter of the Chief of our town.

I'll give this a try and see- Wait STRIP? Did she just say STRIP? No I must have definitely heard it wrong.

"S-strip?" My lips trembled as all of a sudden as I remembered Regi's cool fingers that had worked wonders on me a few days back. Ugh!

Why would I remember that right now? I was lucky enough to avoid Regi up until today. But Brook had said that she would come visit our booth with her today, so yeah I was completely trapped.

"You heard that right. Now strip for me honey. We're already running late. After you change we've also got to do your hair and makeup. So make it fast. Chop chop!" She said while lifting my sweater off me, her knuckles gently grazed my sides as she did so. I quickly pulled down my sweater and took a few steps back shivering.

"Prez, if you could just stay outside for a while I'll change real quick." My cheeks turned a light shade of pink as I imagined myself stripping in front of her. For her. What? No no no no! Bad girl Abby! Bag girl!

I'm not lesbian NOR bisexual, it's just-

"Oh c'mon, why be so shy? We're both girls, so there's nothing to be shy about here. Don't you trust me Bee?" She once again closed the distance between us.

Did I trust her? Of course I did. A bit too much if you ask me. She was the only one who had stayed by my side when Lana and her sidekicks had decided to turn against me. So hell yeah I trusted her.

She removed the sweater completely off my body making me feel completely exposed.

"Why do you hide these behind layers and layers of clothing?" She asked me as she caught my chest in her hands and gave it a light squeeze.

"Samantha!" I warned her. "Sorry, it's just so plushy and irresistible." She said fondling them for another whole minute. This girl. I could never understand her obsession with my breasts.

"I can change on my own you know." I said stubbornly, swatting her hands away before turning around. I unbuttoned my jeans and tugged it off myself as fast as I could. A wolf whistle was heard when I bent to pick up the discarded jeans and my cheeks caught flame.

A light slap landed on my asscheeks. I straightened up and turned around to glare at Sam, but chose not to comment on it. I quickly put on the new dress but got stuck with the zipper.

"Let me help." Sam was quick to put a hand on my back and helped me zip the dress up. Without any particular reason my ears caught fire too. Her hands felt cool on my heated skin.

"Do you know that you look really cute right now? Damn, I could gobble you up whole within seconds. Right here. Right now." Her voice went down a few octaves, so deep that it sent a shiver down my spine.

"What are you talking abou- Eek!" Did she just lick my ears?! No way! That place was dirty.

"Haha! I'm just kidding. Relax babygirl~ Now then, be a good doll and stay put. I'll bring over Mike and Sana to do the rest of the work. By the way, you look gorgeous, honey. Don't let anybody else tell you otherwise."

I stood there speechless as she exited the dressing room closing the doors behind her and giving me the much needed privacy.

I stared at the girl in the mirror. She did look pretty in that dress. The blood red dress with a sweetheart neck hugged her body perfectly in all the right places and flowed down elegantly till it swept the floor.

Lana's words still rang through my head but they were far away by now, completely faded out. They were far enough to let Sam's words overpower them.

'You look gorgeous, honey. Don't let anybody else tell you otherwise.'
Oh how nice it was to have someone around to reassure you.

Sigh. Now I just hoped to God that the school fest ends in peace and that I somehow make it through without embarrassing myself.
