I'm so thankful for all of you guys that decided to read my story. And to all of the people that supported me so far. Here's the next chapter.
Morgan's P.O.V
After the girl helped me up, and an evil glare from the cat, I noticed she didn't let go of my hand. She started walking, and pulled me along to follow. " Uh, what's wrong, where are we going?", I asked but she just glanced back with a smile, not slowing her pace.
As we walked, the trees seemed to grow, towering and full. Not just the leaves, but overwhelming in its chlorophyll. It was as if a title wave of jade, came flooding into the entire wood. The air seemed fresher and their way was cool. I've never been in this type of atmosphere before.
But I was obvious the girl has. Hand still in clutched around mine, she had a different look on her face. Eyes not of astoundment, but of appreciation.
She stopped, and that's when I realized we've reached our destination. It was a magnificent lake. Due to the building like trees that surrounded the massive body of water, the lake stole all of the sunlight. Sparkling like it was filled with diamonds.
I believe I truly lost my breath, because the girl stared at me worried and a bit expectant. "Oh! No I'm fine, it's just wow, I've never seen anything like this before." I didn't want her to worry. It probably worked because she let go of my hand and sighed in relief.
So then, I walked up to the lake to take a closer look of its radiance. When after two minutes of admiring, I looked around for the girl. To which I came to find sitting on a near by log, with the cat in her lap. I went to a company her, sitting on the log.
She seemed very pleased when I got there. It's something about that smile she makes, that let's me forget about everything else. No More, that's not something you need to be thinkin' about. Talk to her!
"So, um, what's your name?" She snapped her head toward me with a blank look. "Like, is there something you'd like to be called? Because I don't want to have call you 'that girl'." She looked at me and moved her lips like she was going to say something, but stopped and looked very distant. As though it pained her to talk. She turned her head away, looking a little hurt.
Though panicking on the inside, I calmly said," I'm sorry, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings. If you wouldn't like to speak you don't have to because I asked." To that she shyly looked up at me, and urged me to talk more. " If you'd like, I could give you a name." Her eyes lit up, and nodded to hear my suggestions.
" Um, actually I don't know many names," I replied sheepishly. " B-but I'll do all I can to do this for you!" I fist pumped in the air with determination. Getting the girl to chuckle, intrigued to hear more.
I thought very hard, and tried to draw inspiration from the forest around us. Around now, the sun was beginning to sink, water changing with various shades of orange and reds. It felt cool, and the breeze passed through the flowers that perimetered the lakes shore.
" How about ... Linei, ya know after the borders and edges all around us." I spread my arms out for effect. " You could say it's like you represent everything because you appreciate it," giving my reasons as I felt warmth on my cheeks. Thank goodness it's past nightfall, or she would've seen. I looked to her to see her thoughts.
She smiled at me, which I've come to know is her approval. I grinned happy by her reaction. "That's great! I'm happy you like it Linei!" I'm so happy someone is impacted by me, without being hurt.
