Jimmy's Perspective

Jimmy looked at himself in the mirror.
It wasn't anything fancy, but it was nice.
He was about to walk out when something caught his eye.
It was the wedding ring that he was going to propose to Scott with.
He stood frozen, staring at the ring.
"Jimmy? You, okay?" Lizzie asked from outside of his room.
"Yeah!" He said.
"Hurry up, then! You gotta go soon!"
Jimmy took one last glance at the ring and took it.
But what if it's too early for us? What if he gets shocked and rejects me? Like Lizzie said, he just came back from running away and me proposing will probably be too much. Jimmy thought.
But he pocketed the ring anyway and left.
-
Jimmy took a deep breath and knocked on Scott's door.
"Hello, King James." Lumi said, bowing.
Jimmy winced at his name but smiled.
"Hi, Lumi. You don't have to call me James."
"My apologies, what would you prefer me to call you?"
"Uh... just Jimmy's fine."
Lumi nodded and led Jimmy up to Scott's room.
"King Scott, Jimmy is here." Lumi said, knocking on Scott's door.
There was silence.
"King Scott?"
"Sorry! Sorry! I-I'll be out in a sec!"
Jimmy looked worriedly at the door but followed Lumi back downstairs.
"Please sit here while you wait for King Scott." Lumi said, "Would you like anything to drink?"
"Tea's fine, thanks." Jimmy said.
After a couple of minutes, Scott came downstairs.
Jimmy's heart skipped a beat and he stared at him.
"Sorry to keep you waiting, I didn't know whether to dress formal or casual, so I mixed them."
Jimmy ran up and hugged Scott.
Even though it had only been a week since they had seen each other, it felt like a year.
Jimmy grabbed Scott's hands and stared at him.
Scott had changed a lot.
His eyes were more of an icy tone than the pale blue that they used to be.
Scott smiled and kissed Jimmy gently.
"I'm sorry I left." Scott whispered.
"No, it's okay. I just... was really worried about you." Jimmy whispered back.
Jimmy could see tears start to form in Scott's eyes.
"Hey, hey. It's okay. I know you had a good reason to leave. I know you felt... out of place. You had, well have, a lot of pressure on you. With Xornoth being your brother, you being a god, and your purpose in life is being able to defeat Xornoth."
Scott nodded, but a tear came down his face.
Jimmy wiped it off of his face and smiled softly at him.
Scott hugged Jimmy again, fully crying now.
"I-I'm s-so sor-sorry." Scott sobbed.
"Shhh. It's okay, it's going to be okay."
Jimmy then thought of something that might calm Scott down.
"It'll be okay, petal."
Surprisingly, Scott's breath slowed down.
"What did you j-just call me?" He asked.
"Shit! Sorry, did you not want me to call you that?" Jimmy asked.
"No, it's okay! It just... caught me by surprise."
Jimmy smiled down at Scott and said, "Come on, let's go."
"Where?"
"I want to hear your tales about where you went and what happened."
Jimmy and Scott flew off.
They landed near the ocean, but it was in an isolated place, so Lizzie wouldn't be able to find them.
"Okay. I'm all ears." Jimmy said as he and Scott sat down.
Scott put his hand on Jimmy's and said, "I think you're more scaley then ears."
"Wowwwww." Jimmy said, death staring Scott, who was cackling.
Scott stopped laughing and kissed Jimmy.
Jimmy kissed back and smiled.
"Now come on, tell me your story." Jimmy said, pulling away.
Scott looked to the ground and said, "I was able to control my magic."
"That's great!"
Scott smiled, but it turned into a frown.
"What's wrong?"
"I- it was very difficult to come back. I wanted to stay there, live there, be in a place where I could never hurt anyone! But... I forgot about the crystal, and I came back. And then... I found that it was gone."
"It's gone?!"
Scott looked shocked.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to scare you."
Scott looked up and sighed.
"So, you came back because of the crystal?" Jimmy asked.
Scott blushed, "I mean... I also came back because... of you. I missed you. I left without telling you. And I... I love you."
Jimmy blushed, "I love you to, petal."
"Just please, promise me, that you won't leave again. If you lose hope in yourself, let me help you, don't hide away. Don't hurt yourself to protect us."
"I promise." Scott smiled.
Scott then stood up and held his hand out for Jimmy.
"What?" Jimmy asked, taking Scott's hand.
Scott took off his boots and rolled up his pants.
"What are you doing?"
"I'm going to walk in the water, come on." Scott said, dragging Jimmy in.
"Wait!" Jimmy yanked his hand back and took off his boots.
Scott laughed and walked into the water.
Jimmy was about to take off his jacket when he realized that the ring was in there.
Should I leave it? Jimmy looked at Scott, who was smiling and jumping in the water. This is it. I should do it. It's the perfect moment.
Jimmy grabbed the ring and ran after Scott into the water.
Scott turned around and almost fell backwards as Jimmy almost ran into him.
It was shallow water, and Jimmy didn't mind if he damaged his pants with it.
"Scott. There was something I've been wanting to ask you."
"What's up?" Scott asked, smiling.
Jimmy took a deep breath and started saying the speech he had prepared.
"Scott, I've had some of the best moments of my life with you. You have made me a better, happier person, and I can only hope that I have done the same for you."
Jimmy got down on his knee and Scott gasped.
"Will you, Scott Major, marry me?"
Jimmy held his breath, and Scott, tears running down his face, exclaimed, "Yes!"
Jimmy got up, and he and Scott hugged.
"Awww!" Scott awed at the ring that Jimmy had given him.
It was a gold ring that had 'Flower Husbands' engraved on it.
"I know we don't remember our pasts. But... it feels apart of us."
Scott laughed and he kissed Jimmy.
"I love it." He said, "Almost as much as I love you."
Jimmy smiled.
There was nothing but smiles among their faces.
