"Awww..." you smile at your niece, "okay.. I'll make sure to buy you a gift, Byeee!"You prepare a feast for Hoseok, a lot of sides with beef bulgogi and pork bulgogi.
"Woah.. what's the special occasion?" Jimin couldn't help but to smile at all the food you're placing out onto the dining table that you guys never use.
"Nothing, just want to prepare something for my hard working husband." You place the little bowls of rice on the table.
Hoseok walks though the door, "woah.." he grins, "so extra today.."
"Hiii babe," you hug him, giving him a kiss.
He pecks you back, "lemme go change. You guys can eat without me."
"Okay.." you walk over to the table, sitting at a seat, Jimin sits diagonally to you.
Hobi comes back in comfortable clothes and sits beside you, "feels like we're at a restaurant."
They both start eating but your hearts still pounding in your chest, hoping he'll say yes. "My sister invited me to her daughter's birthday.." you put a few pieces of meat onto Hobi's rice bowl.
"Mhm.. and?"
"Can I go?? It's been forever since I've seen them.." you smile at him.
He blinks and looks at you with his scary eyes, his smile disappears, "no."
"But I haven't seen them in forever!" You argue back cutely, hoping it doesn't turn into an argument like it always does.
"Why do you wanna go?" His brows furrow.
"It's my family-"
"I don't care. Your sister's husband's brothers are gonna be there, their friends are gonna be there. There's too much people I don't know-"
"That's why you go with me?? You're apart of my family now too.." you place your chopsticks down on the table.
"No y/n.."
You take a deep breath, "then.. I guess I could just buy her the gift she really wants."
"Yes." He replies, continuing his meal with the meat you put on his bowl.
You kiss his cheek, "thanks." You get up and walk away, crying as soon as you turn away from him.
"Why don't you let her go?" Jimin raises an eyebrow at his friend in confusion.
"Her sister's husband's brothers use to like her."
"Why don't you go with her?" Jimin asks, eating but stared at your bowl of rice in worry. He notices you only eat once a day.
"Because her family doesn't like me. Mean they didn't even want her to come live with me when I willingly want to support and love her without expecting her to work."
"What do they have against you?" Jimin speaks with food in his mouth.
"They just wanted her to create her own path and go to college but she didn't want to."
"Ahh... I'm sure there's still time to build your relationship with them, it's not too late. Mean she's gonna be the girl you marry..."
"Yeah, but, I don't know.." Hoseok shakes his head, "not now."
"Haven't you guys been together for over 5 years now?"
"No, 4 and a half years..." he eats without feeling any guilt.
Jimin realized why you set up so much food and treated Hoseok with kindness before asking him. His mind was bent by Hobi but he realizes that's how Hoseok gaslights you and others. He honestly didn't believe in the same things Hobi did. He believes you should and could roam freely. Wondering how you're not going miserably crazy from staying inside all the time.
