I followed the girls towards the changing rooms, heading to sit in the cafe like I usually did after a training session.

My stomach had finally started to settle properly and the last thing I needed was another topless lap dance from Alex, which she had given me several times in the past.

I let out a loud yawn as I laid my head down against my arms, which were flat against the table, closing my eyes shut. I felt my eyelids start to get heavier, my breaths getting shallower when I heard a chair scrape against the floor lightly.

I squinted one eye open to see who was sitting in the chair, I should've guessed. I closed my eye back closed, the sudden brightness of the room stinging my eye.

"How do you get ready so quickly?" I questioned groggily, my eyes still clamped shut.

I had noticed that he would usually always just grab his things from the changing room, leaving the changing rooms wearing his training jacket and his training kit which was always splashed with dried mud.

I heard Erling chuckle under his breath.

"Because I don't shower," He replied, I heard him typing on his phone, his ringer on low.

"Yeah, I can tell," I mumbled under my breath, jokingly. I was too tired to make my voice sound anything but monotonous.

There was an unexpected silence so I opened my eyes slowly to see Erling look at me, with his eyebrows raised at what I had just said.

I smirked to myself as I lowered my head back down, resting it on my arms, this time keeping my eyes open.

"You don't want to know what Jack does in that shower," He defended, before looking back down at his phone.

I shivered slightly at the thought, yeah that was a fair point, I really didn't want to know.

My eyes landed on Erling absently, watching as he concentrated on his phone. It was silent, but it wasn't awkward. We were sat in a comfortable silence.

"Thanks for last night," My voice was hoarse as I spoke, I spoke quickly as I said thank you, I wasn't one for being nice. I lifted my gaze from watching his large hands type quickly, to his face.

I observed him as he stopped typing, his gaze slowly breaking from looking at his phone, to looking at me.

"Which bit?" He questioned, looking at me with a smirk. I chuckled lightly.

"The chicken nuggets mainly," I said honestly, with a smile. But before he said anything, I continued speaking. "But for everything really, I don't think I'd have gotten myself home any time soon," I admitted honestly, with a laugh.

It had been playing on the back of my mind, I was grateful that he had found me and everything that had followed afterwards. I was in no fit state to get myself home.

"Don't worry," He said reassuringly, I sat back up, ready to leave when I saw Chloe coming out of the changing rooms. But I was caught off guard before I could stand up, his voice continuing to speak.

"You still owe me, remember?" He teased with a smirk, before I could stand up to follow Chloe, he stood up, smacking my right shoulder twice as he left with the boys who were exiting through the main doors.

I sat there frozen, my lips slightly parted. Had Erling just outdone me?

I looked up and watched as he walked away, but before he left, his head turned to face me slowly, giving me a smirk before exiting through the main doors.

My left arm flopped lazily into the sling wrapped around my neck, pins and needles shooting from my wrist up to the top of my shoulder.
