Callum
We were all currently in surrounded by the campfire as the coach passed the bags of marshmallows around. When the bag was passed to me and I got some extras for Star since knowing her she's gonna want to eat some while waiting for the marshmallows to heat up.
"Yeah, why are you getting so many?" Chris shouted from afar.
"She's gonna want some waiting for the mallows to heat up."
"Loverboy."
"We've had this conversation before."
"I don't recall."
"Boys."
"Sorry coach." We both mumbled
Later on, Star came with the rest of the girls and she sat next to me. As time went on we told jokes and the coach told us stories of his glory days. Moments like this remind me he was just a kid once chasing a dream.
"I can't figure you out at times you know?" I said as I turned to face her.
"What makes you say that?"
"Lots of things but still doesn't stop me from trying to figure you out."
"When you do Cal let me know."
"I will." I softly smiled at her and kissed her temple. "Goodnight Star."

"Where's your girlfriend Callum?
I turned around to face my coach who was in sweats with a "I love my wife" shirt.
"My wife got me the shirt."
I chuckled.
"Ah don't laugh now boy soon you'll want the woman you love to let the world know you'd do anything for her."
Little did he know I had the girl I just haven't said the words.
"Um, Camille had to answer a call."
He nodded and handed me a gift bag. "My wife wanted to give her a welcoming gift."
"Thank you, sir."
"Don't thank me just treat her right and do well in the rink."
"I will."
"I hope."
As the coach walked away I saw Star walking towards me. She always took my breath away. When I looked at her there was no one else.
"Cal?"
"Huh?"
"You look space off you okay?"
"Um yeah, here coach wife wanted to give you this."
"Really? Told you I could be a great fake girlfriend." She smiled so beautifully
That's when I heard coughs and I realized the boys were behind her.
"Cap we gonna go or are you gonna keep looking at your girlfriend with love eyes all day?"
