Out of the sixteen high schoolers participating in this killing game, two were having a chat. Shuichi Saihara had talked to many of the other students about their life.
During this time, he learned more about every person he spoke to. Even in a traumatic situation, everyone still had hope. Hope they laid in his soft, shaking hands. The background from their stories was uplifting, for the most part.
Although they all had interesting stories, one of them stood out to him. As the Ultimate detective, it's obvious he would've been intrigued. In the courtyard, Shuichi conversed with him. For someone as skittish but logical as him, talking to such a person sounded like a terrible idea. But, he wanted to know more about Kokichi Ouma.
"Everyone's lying!" Kokichi said, pouting like a child. "I'm only mean so you guys won't be soft! In this game, people can't' be slipping up!" Shuichi was already sure that he was full of it. He turned to face Shuichi, his hair flipping in his face as he brushed it off. He stared for a moment, smiled slightly, and then began to cry, loudly and exaggerated.
"You understand me, don't you, Shuichi?!" He said, rubbing his eyes. Shuichi was stunned. He had never met such a person in his life. "Uh.. Let's just talk.." Shuichi mumbled. The tears from Kokichi's eyes stopped flowing, and he smiled brightly at him. "You want to know about my organization, is that it?"
He looked straight into Shuichi's eyes, gazing at his structure. He swayed side to side, almost teasing Shuichi for not responding. He had only just walked up to Kokichi, and in less than 5 minutes of talking to him, he had cried, tricked him, and lied. Shuichi's head was already spinning. But, he continued to interrogate him.
"Um. Organization? Please, continue." Shuichi smiled awkwardly. He wasn't used to talking to him. Kokichi walked in a circle around him, like a vulture circling its prey. He laughed, and pushed Shuichi forward. He stumbled, but caught himself. "Ha. You're a pushover! I'll tell you if your sooooo interested." He said, grinning from ear to ear.
Shuichi sighed, and tried to keep an eye on Kokichi. He stepped back, and cleared his throat dramatically. "So, you already know that I am the Ultimate Supreme Leader, correct?" He bragged. He was a lot shorter than Shuichi, but somehow still made him uncomfortable and confused.
Shuichi nodded, waiting for Kokichi to continue. "And.." He said, slurring his words. "You also know my organization has over ten thousand members!" Kokichi smiled widely, inching closer to Shuichi. He tilted his head. "So it must be impressive!"
Shuichi sighed. He didn't expect anything more out of "The Ultimate Supreme Leader."
