It had been your second week, since you started out at Wellsbury high. You didn't really have any friends, but you're classmate Ginny had been nice to you, and even spoke to you sometimes. You weren't friends with her though, more like acquaintances. She'd help you once in awhile, and you'd say hi to her whenever you saw her.

Though, this really isn't about Ginny. It's about maxine. The girl Ginny is friends with, and you're crush. Even though you hadn't been in wellsbury that long, you immediately fell for her right away. You weren't sure about her sexuality though, and you were extremely nervous to talk to her.

You thought, 'maybe if I befriend Ginny, she'd help me with Maxine..just maybe..' but even though this thought came to you're mind multiple times, you were just too shy to do it.

"Are you okay? Why are you just standing there? We have class come on let's go." Ginny told you as you stood there blankly, staring out of space. You were definitely thinking about Maxine.

"Okay so..here's the thing.." you told Ginny as you were walking with her. "Yeah?" "Well..I kind of have a crush on one of your friends and I really need your help—I know it sounds desperate but I can't get my mind off of her-" ginny smirks and looks at you. "Oh? It's a her? I definitely know who it is. I can tell you with 100% confidence she's gay and totally single. I can help you out."

You excitedly jumped up and down with Ginny. "Oh my god thanks Ginny, you are such a life savior—I love you!" You said a little too happy about the whole thing.

"But—be warned I don't think she's over her ex..so just be careful not to become a rebound.." ginny said warning you.

You walked into the classroom with Ginny and you had English with Ginny, which meant..Maxine was in the same class.

Which meant, Ginny was totally gonna introduce you to Maxine and you were extremely nervous.

"Maxine meet my new friend y/n she's the new girl and..I thought I'd show her around, she doesn't really have friends so I'm just introducing her to everyone." Ginny said to Maxine.

"Oh sweet, I really love your earrings by the way they look good on you." Maxine says smiling at you.

Your heart was uncontrollably beating fast, "ah thanks..I really love your outfit.." you said nervously.

"Oh really? Thanks. My friends think I dress really weird so it's good to know at least someone likes my outfit.."

"Well I think you're pretty cool.." you told Maxine blushing a bit.

Ginny smirks and looks at her friend Maxine and the new girl.

You sat next to Maxine and smiled.

Throughout class you couldn't stop staring at her and at times she caught you and smiled waving at you.

And at the end of class Maxine grabbed your hand and stopped you from leaving, so she could speak to you. "so..let me guess..you totally have a crush on me don't you?" She said smirking at you.

"What..." you said looking at her trying to act confused. You didn't want to give it away so soon. "Well for instance I caught you staring at me in class the whole time, which is like totally not creepy or whatever.." Maxine said in a sarcastic tone.

"Haha..I mean I just think you're really pretty.." you told her blushing a bit.

"You too hot stuff, but if you like me you should say so..I'm totally looking forward to talking to you more." She said winking and waving at you before leaving class with Ginny.

You just stood there watching her walk out smiling to yourself. "That went well.." you told yourself, walking out the classroom.
