Valentine's Day special.

You were finally at lunch with your friends. " so how did it go?" One of your friends asked you. " how did what go? What are you talking about?" You asked you're friend.

She bursts out in laughter. " don't act dumb. We saw you talking to Marcus earlier and it looks like you guys were totally flirting with each other. I mean you've gotta be dating him by now?" She asks.

" OK first of all I wasn't flirting with him, he just came up to me as usual asking me for homework. It isn't anything new! He's using me. I cant understand how you guys think he likes me when he's clearly just using my homework to get straight A's, so he can graduate because otherwise we know he wouldn't!" y/n said in a sassy tone.

"But you know that's all just an excuse so he can talk to you right? I mean look at it this way, people don't really talk to you because they think that you're a freak. Marcus is of the popular crowd, he hangs out and goes to parties and does whatever. He's gonna use getting you're homework as an excuse to talk to you, because that's probably the only way."

"Yeah she's right! It's an excuse, because guys like him wouldn't talk to girls like you. Unless they could make up an excuse for it, and that's what he's doing. Usually it's what guys do. They'll make up excuses to talk to the girl they like." Your other friend told you.

" Yeah well it's draining. I hate that he's asking me every single day for homework on top of homework. I mean I like him but he's afraid to be seen with me. That's why he's using an excuse and it actually hurts my feelings. I was taught that if a guy really likes you, he would do anything for you and what Marcus is doing is an asshole move. He's just trying to get into my pants and I know that so I wouldn't fall for him. He's a red flag." You told them.

" yeah, he's annoying. You're right. He shouldn't make up excuses just talk to you. He should at least have the balls come up to you and talk to you normally, but we've been you he's a jerk and that he's a red flag even though we're entertaining this, you should understand we're only joking around because we're your friends but it's not recommended to date a guy like Marcus he would break your heart just like he did with Padma's.."

" yeah I don't want to be another Padma. She's a sweet girl, but I don't know what she expected for Marcus. I mean anyone could tell from far away that he's a red flag and I mean she just kept talking up with him you know even after him, making it clear that he wouldn't make things official with her I mean she kind of knew what she was getting into not saying that it was her fault, but I gotta be more cautious." " yeah but I mean could you blame her Marcus is hot almost every girl would fall for him even if he's a red flag, though, because I'm lesbian, I'd probably fall for his sister instead, I mean they've got good genes in the family she's hot as well. You should see her." Your friend said blushing.

" no way you totally like Marcus's sister. I know who you're talking about. It's max isn't it?" You asked you're friend.

" yeah it's Max. I just can't take my eyes off her she's just so pretty and I wanna talk to her, but you know what would be so weird? If we both started dating them at the same time, especially because their siblings but I should really talk to her you know make a move on her Valentine's Day is coming up and we're both totally single. I follow her insta, so I definitely know she single!"

" So you should go for it since Valentine's Day is around the corner you should talk to her more and ask her to be your Valentine's! It would totally be so cute." You told your friend.

" Yeah, it would, but what about you? I mean I know we both said that Marcus is a red flag, but are you thinking of asking Marcus or anyone else to the Valentine's Day dance?"
