It was June of their Senior Year, they were going to graduate soon. Kol stayed at the school per Caroline's request, so two of the Originals were graduating. As Bonnie paced the library of the Mikaelson family home. "Love," Klaus calls. Bonnie glared at him, "You do realize that I can help you study right," he asks. "Or you know I can compel your teachers to give you A's," he adds. "And how exactly are you going to do that," Bonnie asks. "Look into their eyes and tell them to do things," Klaus says. "Except for the fact that when Kol compelled himself out of a tenth test, Caroline and I started slipping the teachers vervain," Bonnie says. Klaus rolls his eyes, "Really," he asks. "We thought it was funny when he first realized it," Bonnie says. "Alright, let me help you study," Klaus says, pulling Bonnie into his lap.

Kol purses his lips, "That's rude," he says. Bonnie and Caroline avoid each other's eyes because they knew if they looked at each other, they would burst into a fit of laughter.

Bonnie and Klaus poured over the textbooks, until Bonnie began to fall asleep. And then Klaus picked her up bridal style up to the guest room where she usually slept. "You might not be able to hear me right now," Klaus says. "But I will always protect you," he says. "I vow to you that  none of my enemies will even come close to hurting you," Klaus says. "They will not hurt you to hurt me because I won't let them," he says.

"Huh," Kol says. "What," Klaus asks. "Someone can get you wrapped around her pretty little finger," Kol says.

Despite the promises to Jenna and Abigial, the two Original brothers that left town came back to watch their younger brother and sister graduate from high school. So in true basic high school tradition they sat in the audience as their siblings who were decked out in cap and gown crossed the stage. Despite his qualms Kol crossed the stage feeling empowered, he had done something other than killing an entire town. And Rebekah crossed the stage pleased, for the first time in a thousand years, their family stayed in one spot long enough for her to cross the stage.

"I am never going to live that down," Kol says. Klaus claps his brother's shoulder, "Not if I have anything to say about it," he says.

Caroline and Bonnie crossed the stage and received their diplomas with a different thought in mind, they first came to school being best friends with Elena. After the supernatural was introduced to them, Elena seemed to become a danger beacon. Now they were leaving the school backed by the most powerful family in existence. Tyler realizes that he is also with that family, well as long he did not piss off one of her brothers.
