Chapter 3: Wrong Future

My POV

I stepped into the burrow and waited for the blindfold but it never came.

"Unlike last time when it was still a possibility, I've gotten better about knowing what I can and can't show others. I'll make sure to be careful with details but if we keep it vague enough, nothing bad should happen and when you fix it, it'll go back to the right timeline and this one should vanish."

"Does that mean you'll vanish?" I asked and Alix laughed.

"Nope Mini Bask, just that future. The future you're destined for is much better." I nodded and she walked through a long hallway to large doors at the end. "Now I did tell everyone the rules, and of course, you know the rules. But I know there will be a lot of questions and you are smart. But just know when to stop analyzing, ok?" Alix asked and I nodded. "Oh and one more thing. We are right now a few years into the future. They all might be a bit surprised to see you but just relax. I'll be by your side the whole time."

"Surprised? Am I-"

"Spoilers mini Bask." Alix smiled and opened the door leading into what looked like a conference room with a handful of people.

"Bunny, what's with the secrecy and urgency? Is everything ok?" I recognized Rosie's voice and smiled softly, relaxed that it was my friends.

"Don't freak out, or you'll scare her. You know I wouldn't do this normally but it's gotten this drastic." Bunny said seriously before stepping to the side for everyone's gaze to land on me.

"Oh wow-" Marinette said and de-transformed and I blinked in surprise.

"Oh, my god..." Juleka whispered and I suddenly felt a chill down my spine as everyone stared at me, their eyes haunted by a memory.

"H-Hi. Uh, um, you guys are-" I gripped my hands tight feeling the nerves starting to affect me.

"It's great to see you again Basilisk." Marinette sadly whispered before pulling me in for a hug. I sensed something uneasy and hugged back tight. One by one they each came up and hugged me tight, a few clearly not trying to cry. Adrian was the last to come up to me; his eyes angry at me for a moment.

"It's younger Elizabeth, Adrian." Marinette seemed to remind him and his shoulders slumped before pulling me in tight for a hug.

"I'm so sorry," Adrian whispered, clearly not meant for my ears but knowing Bunny's warning, I didn't ask. It suddenly occurred to me not everyone's eyes were on me and I looked around at all the different pictures lining the walls. My heart stopped seeing the Multiple remembrance plaques. Mylene, Marc, Nathaniel, and Ivan? Then I noticed not dead, but not in the room were Max, My older self, Luka, and Ken. I walked by each one smiling at the beautiful photos taken of each of us until I stood in front of the one for Luka and me.

"The battle that you're in today your time...something changes. I have no idea what's the causing factor to shift the timeline and we've lost too many already." Alix sighed and sat in a chair de-transforming and feeding her kwami.

"We don't know much, just that you killing ShadowMoth is the starting point," Rosie whispers.

"Where am I?!" I blurt and all eyes turn to me.

"Dead." Cat Noir hardens his gaze and I look at Bunnyx who nods.

"He turns evil if he loses me. Akuma or not." No response, I'm close.

"Always thinking." Alya laughs as I get lost in my thoughts.

So we need to make them good again, and figure out what caused the change. Obviously, not akuma's because no Shadow Moth. If they think it's me killing someone, why not stop me? Because they can't for some reason or tried and it didn't work. Why would Kim and Max still be evil? What's Luka's motive now then?

Wait... Kim and Max...

"No... but we rescued them. I remember that-" I see lots of confused faces and look at Bunny who looked guilty. They don't know exactly 'when' I come from. "And me killing whoever ShadowMoth is..." I stopped, seeing eyes dropping I was catching on and I shut my mouth. Someone in retaliation kills me and makes Luka snap and Kim and Max join him...Maybe others had joined Luka's side but forgave whoever did it. I cleared my throat and wiped a few stay tears threatening to spill as I looked at them seriously.

"Well, what are we doing? Let's save the future and our friends."
