Chapter 5: Wrong Future

My POV

"He's not back at her place," Alya said.

"Not at His either." Nino sighed over the comms.

"Is he by the bridge Zoe?" Ladybug asked.

"Negative."

"With Kim and I missing, I think I know where he'll be. He thought it was weird earlier when they were distracting us. It's why I went to the room I found you both in." Max said solemnly.

"The guitar picks?" I asked and he nodded.

"The only thing he has left of you." Juleka frowned and I nodded.

"Everyone ready? Be on guard, if she dies..." Alix stopped as everyone stared at me.

"Maybe you should stay behind?" Cat asked and I shook my head. "Alright then. Max?"

"Voyage!" He opened a portal into the butterfly room and He and Kim walked through first with everyone slowly trickling in. I hid behind them last as the portal closed. Deep breaths. 

"Max? Where did you go? It's been a few hours since I heard from you." Luka's voice was tired, but the anger flowed through easily. I peeked around the bodies to see Luka standing facing away from us as he stood at the desk, not transformed into Viperion, but I could see the bracelet on him. 

"Luka, we need to talk." Max sighed and Luka turned around slowly, his eyes narrowing.

His hair was much longer and he was taller too but not much changed in his looks otherwise. He was still handsome as ever. However, instead of his normal blue jacket, he wore a black leather jacket. He had his converse still and some ripped blue jeans and a jade green tank top.

"Brought the crew? Eh. Going to finally give me what I want?" Luka smirked and I ducked my head back, hiding in the crowd as I covered my mouth with my hands to stop myself from crying out loud. Oh, my baby... I don't know what happened but I'm going to fix it.

"We came to talk, Luka. We don't want to fight and no one is going to die." Ladybug said.

"Talk? What on earth would you want to talk about?!" He scoffed and everyone looked at each other before looking back at me. "What?!" Luka snarled and I nodded.

"Luka..." Kim walked forward and I tried to peek to see but couldn't with everyone blocking my view. "Keep your hands on the guitar picks, please? Just hear them out." 

"Nothing is going to get me to change my mind. Or did you forget I'm not under control?" Luka's dark laughter sent chills down my spine as Alix nodded and everyone slowly took a step away.

One by one as they all moved, I stood there with my head held high as Luka's expression started to change.

"Before you ask, no this isn't an illusion," Juleka said.

Luka POV

There she stood, as beautiful as ever.

"That's-" I felt Kim's hand holding onto my grip as I looked down at the guitar pick. "She's-"

"Luka," She shuttered, more tears falling. I looked at Alix and held back my own tears.

"Bring a younger version to try to help me? Don't you think that-" I paused, a force pushing against me and shaking with their arms wrapped around my waist. I looked down slowly in shock to see her gripping me tight and I could feel something breaking inside me. Setting down the guitar pick, I encased her in my arms soothing her, my tears releasing as I gently brought us both to the floor. No matter what time period she came from, she was and forever would be my Sweetheart.

"I miss you... so much." She whispered, sniffing as she hugged me tighter, "I'm going to save you, baby." It then finally dawned on me. I knew she was a younger one, but when was she from?

"When?" I looked up at them with determination.

"Your missing, Luka." Marinette said, a frown on her face.

"She hasn't killed him yet." Adrian crossed his arms, looking guilty as my eyes widened and I lifted her chin.

My POV

"Oh, Sweetheart..." Luka chuckled softly and wiped my tears before gently kissing my lips. "Don't worry, everything will be ok. Long as-" Luka paused and I figured everyone was silently telling him to choose his words carefully. "Long as you be careful. I love you and you know I'd do anything for you."

"I know, I'm gonna find you." I nodded as he picked me up bridal style and carried me over to Alix.

"I know you will Sweetheart." With a final kiss goodbye and hugs from everyone, Alix brought me back into her burrow to go home. I knew exactly what I had to do. I had to do anything I could to keep him there and fight him.
