Y/N is now thirty-three years old and Lacey is fifteen. Y/N has been working in his own mechanic shop that he opened at 18 before Lacey was born. He has raised her all by himself and he has done a great job which is clear to all his friends, her teachers and her friends.

Y/N is also known as a DILF among the female teachers and Lacey's friends which gets annoying to hear.

Lacey loves her dad a lot and knows he is doing his best everyday just for her. He always makes sure she gets what she wants even if means he has to miss out on something. The first few years, Y/N struggled financially but he always made sure Lacey had food, toys and his time and attention.

His business has improved and he is a popular mechanic, he always makes sure to put money aside for Lacey's future whatever she decides to do. He makes sure to have money saved for Christmas and birthdays while staying on top of all bills and shopping.

Y/N has loved Lacey enough for both himself and Ally, just like he promised he would at eighteen. Y/N hasn't been on any dates since Ally and spends his free time with his daughter or in his shop.

Both Y/N's parents and Ally's parents have not seen Lacey or Y/N since he moved house and did not tell them the address.

He also opened a café named 'Wakey Wakey' in Ally's memory. She always told him what she would call her café, how she would have freshly baked goods and always serve customers with a smile, something he makes sure to encourage with staff.

Y/N and Lacey are currently walking around their grocery store doing their weekly shopping. Lacey walks by her father telling him all the drama happening at school. As he picks up some bagels for them, a brunette woman tries to reach for bread on the top shelf.

"Need help?"

"Um yeah please."

She tucks her hair behind her ear which doesn't go unnoticed by Lacey. Y/N gets the bread and hands it to the woman as she smiles at him.

"Thanks."

"No problem."

Y/N walks back to his trolley continuing to shop with his daughter. She looks at him before walking back to her friend.

"She is totally checking you out dad."

"No she's not. She was just being friendly."

"If friendly means getting in your pants for old people then sure she was being friendly."

"One, I am not old and two she was being nice that's it. Plus I have you, I don't need anyone else."

"Mom would want you to move on."

"I know sweetie, it's just hard to move on when you already found the one." He kisses his daughter's head.

As they head down the next aisle, Y/N stops confusing Lacey.

"Dad, what's wrong?"

The two people blocking their way look angrily at Y/N who puts Lacey behind him.

"Get out of our way."

"We want to talk to you."

"We have nothing to talk about."

Scarlett and Lizzie hear a commotion from the other aisle so they head over to see what is going on.

"We don't think you're fit to be a father after you killed her mother."

"I didn't kill her. Why do you want my daughter? You never wanted anything to do with her when you found out we were having her or for the past fifteen years."

"We're filing for custody of her."

"Like shit you are."

"Here's the papers. We'll see you in court daughter killer."

"I DIDN'T KILL HER." Y/N shouts as they walk away from him.

"Dad, are they going to take me away from you?"

"No sweetie, I'm not going to let that happened."

"You don't have a lawyer dad."

"I'll look for one, we'll be together I promise."

Lacey hugs her dad as she starts to cry he just holds her, his anger dissipating.

Lizzie turns to her best friend and boss looking at her with pleading eyes.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Our workload is heavy right now we don't need another case."

"Please Scar, this guy is super cute and it's clear he loves his daughter. It's a sure win."

"No, Lizzie. Not like you can sleep with the clients."

"Doesn't mean I can't look at him."

"It's risky."

"Please, I really want this." She gives her friend puppy dog eyes.

"Ugh. Fine. Go give him a card."

"Yes! I love you!" She hugs her best friend.

"I love you too now go before I change my mind."

Lizzie walks over to Y/N and Lacey as they pull away ready to continue their shopping. She taps him on the back and he turns around to look at her.

"Need something off the top shelf again?"

"No, um my friend and I overheard the commotion."

"Oh."

"We're lawyers. Here's our card if you want to get in touch." She hands him the card tucking her hair behind her ear.

"Thanks, I'll give you a call."

"I'll be waiting for it." She touches his arm before walking off.

As they continue to shop, Lacey looks at her dad.

"She was totally hitting on you dad, you should ask her out."

Y/N looks at his daughter and chuckles.

"Yeah I will-"

"YES!"

"If you get all A's in your classes."

He smirks as she looks at him with a glare that quickly turns to a smirk.

"Bet."

"You're so much like you're mother."

"I wish I could've met her."

"I do too princess. But you know she's looking down on you and she's so proud of the woman you've become. She's up there saying 'that's my girl' while she throws her first in the air like I do when watching football."

Lacey laughs and hugs her dad's side as he gives her an one armed hug.

"She'd be proud of you too dad."

"I know sweetie, I know."

He kisses her head heading to pay.
