Later that day, Y/N and Lacey arrive home and unload the shopping. Well Y/N does, Lacey is sitting on the couch on her phone.

"Dad can I stay at Emma's house tonight?"

"What does her mom say?"

"She said it's okay."

"Then okay but stay safe please."

She walks into the kitchen kissing his cheek.

"I will dad."

She runs off upstairs to pack while Y/N puts the last of the shopping away. He makes himself some coffee while Lacey runs in. She gives him a hug and he kisses her head.

"Bye dad."

"Bye princess, I love you."

"I love you too." She leaves the house walking a few houses down to Emma's house.

Y/N takes his coffee setting it on a coaster and sits on the sofa. He lets out a sigh putting his arm over his face.

"What are they trying to do my love?"

"I don't know sweetie."

Y/N looks to his right to see Ally.

"I wish you were really here love."

"So do I babe."

She puts her hand on his cheek and he feels a cold breeze. He tears up.

"Are they right?"

"No, you have raised Lacey alone from eighteen. You are the best dad anyone could have and you are an amazing lover."

"Yeah? Do you miss that?"

"I miss all of it."

They start reminiscing, Y/N drinking more coffee to stay awake with her. They share laughs at their younger selves.

"Lacey is right though."

"About what love?"

"You should move on."

"I don't want to."

"I'm gone baby. You have to let yourself love again."

"But they won't be you."

"And that is okay because you have loved me, it's time to show someone else all the love you never got to give me."

"What about you?"

"It's time to let me go, I want you to move on."

"I love you Ally."

"I love you Y/N. Now call the pretty lawyer."

"It's 10pm, after office hours."

"Call her Y/N."

"Fine I will call her."

Y/N pulls out his phone looking where Ally just sat to see it empty. He sighs as he dials the number of the card. It rings twice before she answers.

"Hello?"

"Um hi."

"Who's this?"

"The guy from the grocery store with the daughter."

"Oh hi."

"Hi. I know it's past hours."

"No, no. It's fine."

"I think I will take you up on your offer."

"Yeah?"

"Yeah, so when can I see you?"
