Broken Hearts

Monday morning arrives, bringing around the Monday blues especially in the teenager of the house. 

"Why is school a thing?"

Y/N laughs at his daughter handing her coffee.

"I have no idea why it's a thing princess. I'll be done earlier today so I can pick you up."

"Taylor Swift jam session both ways?"

"Anything for you. Have you packed your bag for today?"

"No, can you please?"

"Sure sweetie, what do you have?"

Lacey lists her subjects and Y/N puts the folders in her bag. Ally use to do the same when they were in school so he picked it up from her.

"Let's go sweetie."

"Coming."

Lacey runs outside and Y/N locks the door before getting in the car. The father-daughter duo sing Taylor Swift songs at the top of their lungs on the way to school. 

"Bye dad."

"Bye sweetie."

He kisses her head and she kisses his cheek leaving the car running to Emma and a girl he hasn't met before. 

Y/N heads off driving to work parking around back, for privacy. He heads into his shop opening it up. He starts getting to work on some cars from before the weekend.

"Hello?"

A female voice calls out. He rolls out from under the car, standing up and wiping his hands on a rag.

"Scarlett?"

"Y/N?"

"Yeah that's me."

"I didn't know you were a mechanic."

"Also own a café."

"Wow, really?"

"Yup 'wakey, wakey' is mine."

"Great freshly baked goods there."

"It's what Ally wanted. What can I do for you?"

"My car started making this weird noise on the way to the office."

"I'll take a look at it for you."

"Will you be able to drop me at the office first?"

"Sure, come on."

Y/N closes up the shop leading Scarlett to his car. He drives her to the office and as she gets out he sees Lizzie. He gets out of the car walking over to her.

"Lizzie, can we talk?"

"I have work."

"Come on, we should talk about the another night."

"There's nothing to talk about it was a mistake, just forget it Y/N please."

She walks off as he sighs getting into his car and driving back to work to finish the cars. Around lunchtime, Scarlett comes back with her husband and gets her car leaving after paying Y/N.

He finishes up for the day when the last customer picks their car up. He locks up before climbing into his car and heading off to park out front of the school for his daughter. 

At the end of the day, Lacey walks out with Emma and the girl from this morning. She waves goodbye to Emma and walks over to the car with the other girl.

"Dad, can I go to Rose's house?"

"I don't know her parents princess."

"My mom is over there."
