Hailey's POV:

"Clearly, I called your name like 20 times. So... thinking about Matt?" He said, once again wiggling his eyebrows.

"Yeah... I was... and you know what Nick?"

"What!?" He said excitedly.

"I think you're right..." I sighed in defeat.

"Finally you fucking realize it." Nick says.

"Yeah, well I'm not gonna tell him don't even try to push it Nicolas." I say.

"Promise me you'll think about it Hay. He's clearly into you." Nick adds.

"Not happening Sturniolo." I say.

"Fine fine." Nick said with a knowing smile.

Matt's POV:

"Fuck Matt! What's wrong with you?!" I say out loud to my fucking self because I'm losing my fucking mind. Why didn't I just tell her how I fucking feel?

"Matt? You good dude?" Chris said from outside my door. Shit. "Uh, yeah I'm good." I said hesitantly. No I'm not fucking good but I don't know if I feel like talking about it right now.

"Matt. You're lying. I'm coming in." Chris said as he opened my door and softly shut it behind him before sitting on my bed next to me.

"What's going on?" He said.

"Well, I think I actually like Hailey. As more than just my best friend. She's more to me Chris. I know she is, but instead of trying to tell her I shut her out and just said we had an 'in the moment thing.'" I say with a large sigh and quoting in the moment thing with finger quotes.

"Okay. I'm going to be completely honest with you." Chris says and I lightly nod, preparing to find out if he'll say something helpful or just dumb next.

"Okay... if you guys kissed more than once, for a solid 10 minutes it was definitely making out." Chris said and I facepalmed.

"I'm not done! I'm not done!" He said waving his hands around. I gave him the 'really?' Look.

"So... what I'm saying is she kissed back, right? Yes... she was a little high, but she kissed back... and wasn't so high to the point she didn't remember it. She just assumed it was a weird dream or something. Therefore...!" He said clapping his hands before his next line.

"She probably likes you back, and she might just not know how to express it." Chris said with a smile.

Holy shit. He's actually kind of right. Well, maybe not about everything but he put up a decent argument and It's not one of those times where he argues even though he's been proved wrong, it's one where he's genuinely trying to be helpful. I'm actually feeling really proud of him right now.

"Hold on. Why do you think this exactly?" I said. "Yknow the whole, she kissed back so she likes me back thing?" I added.

"Matt. I literally have kissed Alissa more than once and she hasn't killed me yet, and now- never mind... we're talking about you it's not important." Chris says and I raise an eyebrow at him.
